Me too, and I believe PF to be more influential than TS was.

It is your "face value" which I referred to earlier. I'm not criticising you at all, you understand.

Which you're perfectly entitled to believe.

That was good, though.
Repeat the JWFan pledge after me: 'I hereby recognise John Towner Williams' place in the world as the great composer there has ever been, and I therefore renounce the works of Rozsa, Korngold, Herrmann, Horner, Kamen, Giacchino (unless the prophecy is fulfilled and he becomes the heir to JTW) and Goldsmith, especially Goldsmith. I understand that if I ever refer to Jurassic Park as anything less than "a masterpiece sixty-five million years in the making" I will be resigned to living out my days at the Zimmershrine.'

When is it out? I hope it isn't anywhere near Tintin's release date, because it could spell major boxoffice problems for Spielberg and co.

The trailer for Judd Apatow's next film, Funny People, is up. I'm glad Sandler is doing a more serious type of role. He's a lot better at that than his comedy.

In 50 years Herrmann will be forgotten.

Schwarzenegger to play himself in Stallone film

2 hrs 51 mins ago
SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Art will imitate life when Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger spends a few hours playing himself later this year in a movie by Sylvester Stallone.

Stallone's publicist, Sheryl Main, revealed more details Tuesday of Schwarzenegger's rare big-screen appearance. The governor said he has done just three cameos for friends since becoming governor in 2003.

Shooting on the film, "The Expendables," will begin March 28 in Brazil and move to New Orleans for two months. Main says the governor will shoot his scene in Los Angeles.

His role will be a familiar one: California governor.

Stallone writes, directs and stars in the movie, a film about a group of mercenaries trying to overthrow a South American dictator. It also stars Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Eric Roberts, Mickey Rourke and Forest Whitaker.

Look at that cast! Wow! How could this possibly be a bad movie?!

@Wojo: stop being facetious.

I think it also stars that guy from the Transporter films as well, Jason (I can't think of his last name).

I had to laugh when I saw that cast list.

The Razzies are licking their chops in anticipation.

Yeah, I read about the cast a few weeks back, though Arnie hadn't been announced back then.

With a cast like that, this could quite possibly turn out to be the greatest movie of all time! It can't possibly fail, even it it turns out to be a mere guilty pleasure, I'm sold.

I never cared much for Pulp Fiction, its like new glossy wood paneling, slick and fresh looking, but its still wood paneling.
The most memorable thing to me about QT is that he'll always be that extra face in the background on the Golden Girls.
OH God, Joe is posting again, someone hand me my pills!

"You're not John Conner, I saw you die, said Kyle". "I was only injured, replied John". "No, your injuries were too severe, you died. Look at you, where are your injuries? You're, you're a Terminator." "Kyle, its still me, yes my body was beyond repair, but my essence is here." He points to his head. "No John". Kyle raised his pulse rifle and aimed it at John but before he could fire, John fired first. Knocked to the ground Kyle looked up at the Terminator in the form of the man he once idolized. All hope was lost. "If you kill me how will you ever be born?" "Thats a good question Kyle, all this time we've focus on Sarah, on John, when had we known the it was you we should have targeted all along." John pointed his rifle at Kyle's face. "The resistance is finished, the battle is won. We the machines are the victors, salvation is ours." Kyle never heard the second shot.

Too bad. I'm not familiar with them, but I was hoping Brad Fidel would get the job after his work on the video game. Either way, I really don't car about this film, rather I was just rooting for Fidel to get a high profile job.

I've got mixed feelings about this one, The Battle for Terra:
http://www.imdb.com/...b/vi2148336409/

Visually, it looks like they turned the Homeworld series of video games into a movie. I'm not impressed with the voice acting, the characters all sound too tired or disinterested. The name "Terra" is usually reserved for this planet in science fiction, so I'm curious what's up with that. But the storyline, who they've cast as the antagonizers of the movie? Ugh.

Please no more Evil Dead, Army of Darkness was bad enough. I love the first two, but I wish they'd stopped there and then.

AoD is certainly the weakest of the trilogy, but that in no way makes it bad. Hell no.

It's like telling Star Wars fans that Return of the Jedi is a bad movie.

So if the original cast reunites to make Ghostbusters 3, but feature only as advisors to a younger crew of 'Busters, it'll basically be the mid-90s cartoon series turned into a movie. Hoo. Ray.

I want them to remake Star Wars with Scarlett Johannson as Princess Leia. Only please don't tape them down, please don't tape them down.
