Nowadays Star Wars fandom is reserved for the die-hards and the apologists.

The same will happen to LOTR after The Hobbit... It has already started. :(

Could happen. We'll see.

It's a safer bet though, given the directing/writing talent, so it'd be premature to stock up on pitchforks and timber at this stage.

I feel bad for those that cannot de-link lesser parts of a franchise or unnecessary additions and just enjoy what has always been good. That's not an insult, I really feel bad.

Just a teaser for a big budget 90min web series I absolutely will find far more enjoyable than Prometheus:

It's ok, but I'm not sure what "visionary" means anymore.

Karol
From a storytelling point of view, from a directing point of view, there is one thing I associate with what he does, which is calm. There is such an inherent calm and inherent trust of the one powerful image, that he makes me embarrassed with my own work, in terms of how many different shots, how many different sound effects, how many different things we’ll throw at an audience to make an impression. But with Kubrick, there is such a great trust of the one correct image to calmly explain something to audience. There can be some slowness to the editing. There’s nothing frenetic about it. It’s very simple. There’s a trust in simple storytelling and simple image making that actually takes massive confidence to try and emulate. - Christopher Nolan

so marvel thinks Guardians of the Galaxy will be a huge boxoffice success.

Hmmmm.

I think they are wrong.
OH God, Joe is posting again, someone hand me my pills!

"You're not John Conner, I saw you die, said Kyle". "I was only injured, replied John". "No, your injuries were too severe, you died. Look at you, where are your injuries? You're, you're a Terminator." "Kyle, its still me, yes my body was beyond repair, but my essence is here." He points to his head. "No John". Kyle raised his pulse rifle and aimed it at John but before he could fire, John fired first. Knocked to the ground Kyle looked up at the Terminator in the form of the man he once idolized. All hope was lost. "If you kill me how will you ever be born?" "Thats a good question Kyle, all this time we've focus on Sarah, on John, when had we known the it was you we should have targeted all along." John pointed his rifle at Kyle's face. "The resistance is finished, the battle is won. We the machines are the victors, salvation is ours." Kyle never heard the second shot.

Aronofsky is building the set for his next film; a seemingly old fashioned Biblical epic currently titled as Noah. I'm quite curious as to what it'll turn out to be.

Finding Nemo should be left alone, like E.T. was.

"From the producer of Alice and Wonderland and the visionary director of the Spiderman trilogy"

Sorry what?

Flagrant bullshit is obviously acceptable in marketing nowadays. Focus testing must show them that audience intelligence is at an all-time low, which is slightly more believable than the poster tagline.

Well to be honest, we've already had a "Search for Spock" movie, they found him, and they still made a sequel.

By the same token, they made a "Finding Nemo" movie, found him, and they're making a sequel.

If there's one thing we know about Disney it's that they LOVE their sequels.

It's awful! I was hoping that Pixar might be able to redeem itself if they produced an original idea after Monsters Inc. Well, there goes that. And why did they have to touch Finding Nemo of all their films? Next you know, we'll be having Up 2 and Wall-E 2!!! Oh the horror...

I look forward to The Good Dinosaur and Pete Docter's film to see if this changes.

But I was first disappointed with Up, then Toy Story 3 which was great, then they made Cars 2 which I didn't even bother to check out, then Brave (I haven't seen it but it looks far less interesting than I think it could be), then Monsters University and more Nemo... they have been Disneyfied.

I loved it at first but I found the development of the film to be a missed oportunity. I wasn't a big fan of the villain character, it felt forced. And it was much less of a journey there than I thought it would be, in fact they skipped over the journey there!

this totally ruined my afternoon. damn you, pixar! like quint said, finding nemo is just one of those films that should be left alone. mark my words, if it sucks i'll never ever forgive them for in a way ruining my favorite film of theirs (and perhaps even one of my all-time favorite films, I take back my ridiculous 8.5 lol). what in god's name could it possibly even be about without being outrageously disappointing? ohgodwhy..... I should try to think positive, but why nemo?!?!:( go with up instead!

Up isn't a good idea either. Nemo isn't my favourite of theirs, but it's a classic film-of-the-time-when-I-was-eleven and I really dislike that this is happening and that Stanton doesn't uses his chops for something else!
