Order modifications. Orders can be canceled and items removed upon request. We are unable to add additional items to pending orders.

Hate to be picky, but that's pretty pathetic on an online ordering system.

I don't see it as pathetic, but rather puzzling. If you can remove an item from a pending order, you can easily add an item. And It's been almost 2 weeks since I made my initial order, and still no shipment. I'm getting impatient.

In 50 years Herrmann will be forgotten.

If anyone is interested, the Rozsa box set contents have been made available at FSM thru someone hunting the web for it and Lukas hasn't bothered to close the link or hints.

I'm resisting the urge to look but Lukas said to expect the box set in mid-November.

I will say that if what has been hinted at and suggested in the thread is true, this set will be nothing short of spectacular.

Yeah, it's awesome. This set pretty much closes the book on nearly every remaining Rozsa score in the MGM era.

Yes, except for a more complete and definitive Ben-Hur. But if you read between the lines in the liner notes, it seems such a release it's not too far away.
"It's still baffling to me. I sit down with a pencil and a piece of paper and do my best... The remarkable thing is that my music is heard by billions of people." --John Williams

"Let me say, however, there is no "next" John Williams. Sadly, he is unique--- a figure who simultaneously embodies and transcends the music of all the masters of film music who preceded him (much like Brahms and Wagner of the Romantic era). He comes from a time when the craft of music in film was still one of the ear, heart and mind. Today, sadly, the craft is largely technical. Most composers do not conceive their music "inwardly" but rather at the computer--- and with rather limited skills, musically, at that. The inner spirit knows no boundaries--- our plastic abilities, sadly, do. John is a man of spirit, heart, intellect and soaring music." -- Conrad Pope about John Williams

Star Trek V is very good, there's a ton of great unreleased material from the album. Star Trek V needs an expansion like Star Trek II did.

What time does FSM generally announce their CDs? I dont have net access right now because we upgraded our service and QWEST suspended our current deal until we get the new one today. Im posting via my phone so thats why I was wondering. It generally is around 12pm PST right?

Yeah I'd say it would be sometime around noon, eastern time.

There's no telling what it might be, it could be something "big" or something small. Also Lukas mentioned that there are 2 more Goldsmith releases on tap before the summer.

If this is limited, I'm screwed.
Repeat the JWFan pledge after me: 'I hereby recognise John Towner Williams' place in the world as the great composer there has ever been, and I therefore renounce the works of Rozsa, Korngold, Herrmann, Horner, Kamen, Giacchino (unless the prophecy is fulfilled and he becomes the heir to JTW) and Goldsmith, especially Goldsmith. I understand that if I ever refer to Jurassic Park as anything less than "a masterpiece sixty-five million years in the making" I will be resigned to living out my days at the Zimmershrine.'
