And with what you're going through right now I know you need all you can get?

What about the official Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (book) thread?

Could we add all the specialty labels to the list? Like FSM Speculation, and the ones for Varese, La La Land, and Intrada.
"Close Encounters to me is as good a piece of concert music as the 20th century has produced. Everybody fixates on... the Superman fanfare, or Star Wars - Main Theme, or the Raiders March. It's what happens after that, it's not the big popular hook where you go: 'My God John Williams is a genius.' Y'know it's the stuff which is maybe less hooky and less hummable, but is great art." - Hans Zimmer

Great idea

Also, it seems like someone starts a new thread for each new batch of Varese releases, unlike FSM LLL and Intrada which have one big thread for all releases. That should be changed.

He's right, it certainly has been a long time since we knew about such activities, or what we had all eaten that day. Did y'all get a Twitter group or something?

No SMNOL thread, I am disappointed. If it even still exists in this database..

If not, we might have to start a new one!

If not, we might have to start a new one!

It started in the Illiaraja thread, which should have a permanent link somewhere for it's entertainment value. I don't remember if we ever had an actual smnol thread.

It would be a bit pointless to put it up with the other composers' threads: it's locked.

Still, for shits and giggles:

Hey gang,

In the prospect of trying to clean things up a bit, I un-stickied the "Chronological Film Score" thread and the "Custom CD Covers" thread. Now, this thread is the ONLY sticky thread. I remember people voting a while back that less stickies was better. So I put links to those 2 threads in the main post of this thread with the other "popular" threads.

If any other threads should be linked in the main post, let me know!

Can one of you mods update the "last score you listened to" link? It takes you to the locked one.

It's a short, but not-really-worth-telling story, Jason.

Karol

"Modern, serious music has become embroiled in an intellectual discussion that has no place in music. Certainly, the great composer of the past were geniuses and used their intellect, but only to serve their emotions and guide their craft. Not to dictate to them what they should or shouldn't write" - Michael Kamen, 1995
