Always from eBay for $6, finally. Anxiously awaiting it, especially since re-watching some of the movie itself on TV. The only Spielberg/Williams collaboration left is Munich.

Also grabbed the "Joy to the World" Boston Pops CD, mostly for the Home Alone material. That should be fun.

TOY STORY/TOY STORY 2. Bargains from Amazon.
Repeat the JWFan pledge after me: 'I hereby recognise John Towner Williams' place in the world as the great composer there has ever been, and I therefore renounce the works of Rozsa, Korngold, Herrmann, Horner, Kamen, Giacchino (unless the prophecy is fulfilled and he becomes the heir to JTW) and Goldsmith, especially Goldsmith. I understand that if I ever refer to Jurassic Park as anything less than "a masterpiece sixty-five million years in the making" I will be resigned to living out my days at the Zimmershrine.'

Good purchases.

The Fury came in today, all smashed and with the WRONG version of the accompanying purchased soundtrack. Don't you hate it when sellers list the wrong damn information?

Got BTTF today (YAY), as well as another copy of Wrath of Khan as a Christmas gift for a friend. Also got The Princess and the Frog. Think I'm gonna hold off listening to it until I see the film. But something funny about it: the inner plastic piece of the case is black, not clear like most are today—but the back insert is designed for a clear case. Gotta wonder if it was just a manufacturing error, or some kind of last minute decision.

Intriguing. Just as I complain there isn't enough quality E Bernstein on album, here comes some more.

I swear that during "The Fugitives" that they're going to start playing a National Geographic special.

Both rock in their own ways.

May favourite moment in LW is probably that "piano slam" in The Hunt. Back when it came out (the week after I graduated school), I ranked this as the best soundtrack of all times. ;)

I used to have it illegally-digitally, but since this score was gradually getting out of the market, I finally mobilized myself to purchase it.
