About 15 years ago we used to have programs here in Britain which laughed and shook our heads in utter disbelief at footage of the TV game shows of the Japanese, with all their exquisite torture carried out in the name of fun and entertainment. Now we have exactly the same kind of programs here in the form of celebrity contestants eating live grubs, being crawled over by 1000s of cockroaches and other things in a jungle setting over in Australia. Britain really has lost the plot, we can agree :P

Over here in the U.S., I'm sure we're doing equally idiotic exploitive stuff, only I'm not able to name names, since I don't watch any of it. Apparently, there are no more stories to tell. :(

Which magazine? It has a striking similarity to the ship in Flesh Gordon.

If indeed it is from Flesh, then the mag I got it from had the caption wrong. The article was about the old Flash Gordon serial (which btw, I've never sat down and watched either all the way through!).
