Hello all. Well after about 10 years of lurking around these boards, I finally bit the bullit and created an account. I have been a lifelong fan of John Williams and of film scores. My first lp (yes, vinyl) I got was Return of the Jedi in '83 when I was 9 and it was all downhill from there. Mr. Williams will always be my favorite but since I grew up in the '80s I also love the scores of Horner, Goldsmith, Barry, etc. I do enjoy some contemporaries such as Giacchino, Portman, Debney, Desplat, and yes, even a few Zimmer scores. I am also a lifelong Star Wars fan. I remember images from my mind when my mother took me and my brother to a drive-in in '77 to see it. I was 2 and a half yet like I said, I can remember that night and certain images from the screen come back to me. I'm also a huge Indy fan and of Spielberg in general. Jaws is my favorite movie of all time! I say Jaws because for me the Star Wars and Indy film were more than movies to me then and still are today.
I own around 300 scores and soundtracks on CD and vinyl but for the sake of a long read I'm only gonna list the J. Williams scores that I own:

I primarily play my Cds on a Arcam 7 cd player through Musical Fidelity V-DAC or my Pioneer SACD/DVDA player. My vinyl is played on my Music Hall 2.1 turntable with Grado Gold cartridge. When using headphones, they are the Grado SR80is through a MusicalFidelity V-CAN headphone amp. Yes, I'm a bit of an audiophile :P I do have an i-pod buts its only for the gym and while traveling.

Okay, that should do it for now. Looking forward to contributing to some interesting conversations.

Welcome to the forum.

Just as a bit of an FYI, Shadows Of The Empire was done by Joel McNeely.

Welcome aboard! Your story and your collection seem to mirror my own quite a bit. Always fun to pull the old vinyl out and admire it.
