Hey folks, just wanted to share my latest composition. It's called "The Girl Who Waited", which I began shortly after watching the latest season of Doctor Who. Those who have seen it will recognise the name, as well as the similarities the main melody shares with Amy Pond's theme from that show. All intentional, I'm not trying to get away with plagiarism here.

It was actually an assessment task for uni that I recently completed as an exercise in using Logic Pro, so I had to add some arbitrary sound effects at the open and close. I chose a book being opened and flicked through. Just ignore it, it's uber cheese.

Anyways, it's just a 4-minute piece that would accompany an imaginary trailer for an imaginary film. Or - if you like - just a 4-minute piece of music from an imaginary film score. Would appreciate some constructive criticism, particularly in the orchestration department. I've been studying orchestration in my own time and have no professional training whatsoever, so would appreciate feedback!

You can listen to it here.

Very nice piece! I was listening to Chris Gunning's FIRELIGHT before I put on yours, and somehow I forgot I had drifted into another soft, smooth, melodic, piano-based piece. That's a compliment right there!

Cheers Thor, thanks for that! Haven't heard Firelight, I should check it out. I like piano music. If you didn't notice.
