I think some of you need mental floss.

By the way, has anybody here experienced mild, moderate, or severe hearing loss at any point in your lives, temporary or not?

I've had the flu the past week, and my ears feel funny ever since. They feel plugged somehow, and my hearing seems to have been reduced every so slightly, it seems...

The worst thing that can happen to a JW fan is probably total hearing loss! :P

I'm in the same situation with the flu, a cold remained afterwards and I can't hear much on my right ear. But the doctor told me it should go away in a week or so.

You serious?

Why? Is it a genetic thing?

Well, I can still hear pretty well actually, but they seem clogged somehow...

And that's not ear wax, because it started with the flu!

I eat junk, smoke, drink and take recreational drugs on occasion. I worry about my health, but I'm having too much fun to do anything about it. Plus, feeling guilty about it often makes me continue the bodily abuse. I know shouldn't wait until something's wrong to change my lifestyle, but I have weak willpower.

Yes, probably--hopefully.

But the thing is, I've had the flu many times in my life, and my ears have never felt quite like this before. Hell, I am getting old.

The fun lasts until the doctor tells you with a grim face that you have been diagnosed with an early-stage cancer...

Sure, it doesn't need to happen, but why take the chance? It's your life, and you've got only one!

See I don't get that eat a cheesecake nonsense anymore. Being healthy feels better than being stuffed fool of sugar unable to breathe. It's not about torturing yourself with cardboard flavored health foods...it's about maximizing feeling great. Moderation...not torture. Eat that cheesecake....but get a run in as well before. You'd be surprised how much better a cheesecake tastes when you've burned energy and are genuinely hungry.

You have to get healthy to realize what you are missin out on. Only then can you come back and tell me doing whatever you want to your body all the time is living a little. It's not. It's miserable. Been there done that.

you should always use mouthwash, even if it is just water with a bit of salt or peroxide. If you don't floss at all at least this will help especially if you rinse for a good 30 seconds or more. When you spit you'll see all kinds of debri you've loosened up. And you should brush once when you get up and once before bed at the least. I like to brush after particularly spicy meals.

Remember a clean smelling mouth is much more appealing to kiss.
OH God, Joe is posting again, someone hand me my pills!

"You're not John Conner, I saw you die, said Kyle". "I was only injured, replied John". "No, your injuries were too severe, you died. Look at you, where are your injuries? You're, you're a Terminator." "Kyle, its still me, yes my body was beyond repair, but my essence is here." He points to his head. "No John". Kyle raised his pulse rifle and aimed it at John but before he could fire, John fired first. Knocked to the ground Kyle looked up at the Terminator in the form of the man he once idolized. All hope was lost. "If you kill me how will you ever be born?" "Thats a good question Kyle, all this time we've focus on Sarah, on John, when had we known the it was you we should have targeted all along." John pointed his rifle at Kyle's face. "The resistance is finished, the battle is won. We the machines are the victors, salvation is ours." Kyle never heard the second shot.

You make it sound like eating that cheesecake (or hamburger, or pizza, or whatever) is the greatest joy in your life.

Yes, we're all gonna die. The question is, you wanna die when you're 45 or 85? Don't you have loved ones? Parents? Kids? Wife or girlfriend?

Nothing wrong with a burger, pizza or some booze on occasion. As long as its not your main source of nutrition.

Calm down people, I'm not saying stuff your face every day. I was specifically talking about people that won't touch anything remotely unhealthy.

No, I'm not saying food is the greatest joy in life, but it is one of them. I love trying new and interesting foods. And I'd actually rather die in my 50s than 80s.

I never cared much for my diet but I'm starting to avoid cereals, specially wheat, and I'm eating more fruit and more meat than before. My ideal food, at any moment of the day, would be "dead animal + salad".
