oh man, the CD is longer than Tintin's. I am sure a certain someone is not going to like this. :P

Yeah, Me.

Among all the things I have done in my short and pitiful life, becoming an inside joke on JWFAN is the one I'm the least proud of.

John Williams sucks, he doesn't write with a quill pen, there is no emotion in pencil music ! Purcell is the man !

OK so there are several someones who are not going to like this.

I am extremely happy with this CD if the track titles are anything to go by. They seem to be in a near chronological order. I bet this is going to be a great listening experience. And it doesn't seem to have music from other artists on it.

Ars superior est vita hominum.

"We pop out and come into the world and music is there. We didn't invent it - it's all organised in the atmosphere by divinity or whatever. It's a miracle." - John Williams-

I think music is a stream of some kind. It could be blood. It could be water. It could be ether. Whatever it is it seems to be a living, organic force that’s in motion, that serves humanity and is part of humanity and part of what describes us as humans. We sing, play, dance, all the things that we do. And there is a vibrant and great literature we have been given. ... As musicians, we join the stream. We swim in the stream with all the other millions of music makers. It’s a life force, a strong one, surrounding us and we are part of it. -John Williams-

Probably the End Credits suite, right?

Well, End Credits... or concert suite.

I just wanted a piece where you can hear the major theme(s) in all its (their) glory. I just hope that it's not previously heard pieces edited together... but then, I'm not even bothered that much by that. ;)

According to FilmComposer, Williams did record an End Credits suite consisting of the three major themes of the film ('Celtic Horse Theme', 'Bonding Theme' and 'Dartmoor Theme'). I have the feeling it's going to be an amazing track. :)

Ok, people, I've got some news. I've found a website where there is a different tracklist. There are 17 tracks: the additional track is called Riding Rockets (Rockets is the name of the horse), and the last track has a different title (A Thirst For Horse Riding).

Which one do you think is the real tracklist?

The Second disc only has 10 minutes of "unreleased" williams music, the rest is an interview. ;)

What about Picking Horses? Is that also on this set?

Karol
From a storytelling point of view, from a directing point of view, there is one thing I associate with what he does, which is calm. There is such an inherent calm and inherent trust of the one powerful image, that he makes me embarrassed with my own work, in terms of how many different shots, how many different sound effects, how many different things we’ll throw at an audience to make an impression. But with Kubrick, there is such a great trust of the one correct image to calmly explain something to audience. There can be some slowness to the editing. There’s nothing frenetic about it. It’s very simple. There’s a trust in simple storytelling and simple image making that actually takes massive confidence to try and emulate. - Christopher Nolan

Yes, but its microedited to heck, the "horse whinny piccolo" section is edited out.
