I stopped using Firefox about a year ago in favor of Google Chrome, and I'm currently torn between Chrome and Safari (on Lion OS). But neither is as good as Firefox used to be, so I'm still undecided.

I still use Firefox. I got Chrome as soon as it came out but too many pages simply didn't work right, so I returned to Firefox and have only sporadically given Chrome further chances.

Firefox definitely ain't what it used to be so I'm thinking of giving Chrome an extended chance sometime soon

I have pretty much switched over to Chrome at work and at home on a permanent basis.

There are still advantages to using multiple browsers, like keeping multiple email addresses of the same domain logged in on different browsers. I still use Firefox for basically just Download Helper. It and its plugin container have become large memory and bandwidth hogs with the most recent updates and without any tweaks, and that's unacceptable when only a few tabs are open. Nice to see I'm not the only one who has noticed Firefox starting to blow as of late.

Exactly the same, when I'm on the laptop. I like the clean interface and speed of Chrome, but I still have Firefox installed just in case I need use its very useful download addon.

Other than that I'm using the superb Safari browser on iPad and Android's stock browser on phone, which gets the job done.

Firefox started hanging and freezing like crazy on my system so I made the change. Chrome is much quicker on my laptop.

I didn't want to have to format just to get Firefox running properly again.

Firefox.
Do you like John Williams? His early work was a little too jazzy for my taste, but when Jaws came out in '75 I really think he came into his own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and an air of consummate professionalism that really gives the pieces a big boost. He's been compared to Jerry Goldsmith but I think John has a far more leitmotif-driven style of composing. In '82 John composed this, E.T., his most accomplished album to date. I think his undisputed masterpiece is "The Magic of Halloween", a theme so catchy most people don't listen to what it means. But they should, because it's not just about the pleasures of childhood and the importance of friendship, it's also a personal statement about the man himself. Hey Paul!

Question about Firefox. When I right-click on an image to save it, the image is magnified in its own window and the rest of the page goes dark. While a neat trick at first, it quickly gets aggravating when trying to save many photos, putting extra seconds between me and being done.

What is this feature called, so that I may investigate how to turn it off? Otherwise I will continue to browse this forum with Chrome.

Same here. Though I'm not sure when I started using it, but it was not as early as 2003, probably more like around 2008.

Today, I installed the Waterfox browser which is basically a 64-bit version of Firefox, and the thing is running great on my PC! Much faster and smoother than the regular Firefox. Warmly recommended!

I use Firefox to keep some accounts always logged in, Chrome to keep others logged in that conflict, and IE when I feel like browsing out of sight of those accounts.

I'm not sure how I feel about IE's new campaign of "sleeker and sexier than ever." I'm pretty sure that if I was a parent, I wouldn't like it.

It's ok. The doctor said I'm not supposed to have fun longer than ten minutes anyways or I break out in hives. Hence the ointment!

At any rate, Blume's no dummy and could read between the lines.

To start with, I don't like the look of it. I saw it some day on my friend's laptop and immediately found I don't like the GUI so I already made a mental note at that time not to use/install Chrome, at least while I'm still very happy with Firefox - and now even happier with Waterfox.

I didn't like it when it first came out, but now it's on version 21 and is much better. I still prefer Firefox in most regards but the reason I use Chrome is because it's just damn faster on my machine. I'm excited to try Waterfox though, cause if its faster then Chrome then that'll be sweet!
