John Williams sucks, he doesn't write with a quill pen, there is no emotion in pencil music ! Purcell is the man !Among all the things I have done in my short and pitiful life, becoming an inside joke on JWFAN is the one I'm the least proud of.

I have opened it and skimmed through the booklet, but I haven't taken the CD out. I'm like "oh God it might just break" (yes I'm one of those).
So what? You're never gonna listen to it?

According to the package, it actually took like one day to get here
Well, last time I checked Al-Ándalus isn't in the UK, so...
Well, things like that happened before. But if it doesn't arrive by Tuesday I'm going to e-mail LLL.
Karol
Yes, me too. Tuesday or Wednesday.
I am still wondering how the CDs can arrive in Finland and in the Netherlands a full week or two before they arrive in the UK...

Ars superior est vita hominum.
"We pop out and come into the world and music is there. We didn't invent it - it's all organised in the atmosphere by divinity or whatever. It's a miracle." - John Williams-
I think music is a stream of some kind. It could be blood. It could be water. It could be ether. Whatever it is it seems to be a living, organic force that’s in motion, that serves humanity and is part of humanity and part of what describes us as humans. We sing, play, dance, all the things that we do. And there is a vibrant and great literature we have been given. ... As musicians, we join the stream. We swim in the stream with all the other millions of music makers. It’s a life force, a strong one, surrounding us and we are part of it. -John Williams-

Well, Chaac, send your copy of Hook to Croc, and Croc, send your earphones to Chaac. Problem solved!

Life is so sad...
Where are you located? And did you order your copy on the very first day it went on sale?

I'm still waiting too pal, but I'm not worrying too much, as packages from US generally take 2 or 3 weeks to get delivered here in Italy.
"Let me say, however, there is no "next" John Williams. Sadly, he is unique--- a figure who simultaneously embodies and transcends the music of all the masters of film music who preceded him (much like Brahms and Wagner of the Romantic era). He comes from a time when the craft of music in film was still one of the ear, heart and mind. Today, sadly, the craft is largely technical. Most composers do not conceive their music "inwardly" but rather at the computer--- and with rather limited skills, musically, at that. The inner spirit knows no boundaries--- our plastic abilities, sadly, do. John is a man of spirit, heart, intellect and soaring music." -- Conrad Pope about John Williams

I ordered on the very first day (seconds after it came out) Josh. But I ordered from SAE, along with the Ben-Hur set. It shipped a week ago...but still haven't gotten it
Didn't you order it from SAE too Josh?
No, I ordered it from LLL.
I considered SAE, but then I figured LLL would probably ship faster...

Strange that when I ordered 2 copies of Hook from SAE as soon as it became available it shipped 2 days later and was here in record 6 days! Odd that some people have their orders fulfilled so late when they ordered at the same time with me.

Could be that the Easter holidays delayed the arrival of your packages.

What baffles me is why you Europeans are getting your copies before the neighbouring Canadians!!! We're right here dammit!!

And even more pressingly how the hell will he get his Hook?

Ripping CD 1... trying to figure out a way to get the second CD out of the case...

I noticed that too. Hell most of the 2-CD sets recently I've had a hard time trying to get out of the case with out the fear of breaking the discs themselves.
