@WilliamsMusicLover1138: I hope you are taking all the time you need for yourself! I know exhausting life with many, many different duties can be..... Don't let your love of music being ruined by burn-out - it's not worth it, believe me I know what I am talking about.... So you have my heartfelt sympathy!

Anyway, did you get my private message with the links I sent you some time ago? If needed, I will re-send it.

Any since you are taking requests: How about a transcription of Mr. Poledouris' "Starship Troopers"? Since that music resonates so well with something deep inside me, that is one of my dream projects: make apiano transcription of as many cues as possible. Also getting my hands on the original full score would be awesome. :)

Greetings to all fellow movei sheet music fans around!

There is Two tunes in original full score who are Around from Starship. Maybe there is more, but i'm only aware about two.

Yes, i think I traded for those on pianofiles some time ago. Badly scanned, incomplete, but still better than nothing. I am happy when I tryt to read them. But still: I want the whole shebang - that's how greedy I am!

Hey WilliamsMusicLover1138, good to see you back on the forum. I would still love to see these transcriptions from Indiana Jones (I think russds would be really interested too):

  • Desert Chase - Raiders
  • The Basket Game - Raiders
  • Short Round's Theme - ToD
  • End Credits - ToD
  • Indy's Very First Adventure - LC
  • End Credits - LC
I plan to have some more recordings up on my YouTube channel in the next few days - http://www.youtube.c.../DenverDebonair Also, can't wait to see your completed Battle of Endor and get that recorded. I'll be waiting anxiously.

Thanks, everybody!! I'll do what I can! And speaking of which, I've got a little treat for you: With Malice Toward None - Piano Solo went up on YouTube, so I was finally able to listen to it in full like everyone else. It was beautiful.

So here's the sheet so you can play along! Enjoy!

OK, WilliamsMusicLover1138 was nice enough to so quickly post his transcription of "With Malice Toward None" that I figured I should get a recording posted as soon as possible:

This reminded me a lot of Williams' other classic Americana scores, so I recorded those too:

So, would you be able to do either The People's House or Peterson House from Lincoln?

Hello everyone!

Since we all are waiting for another masterpiece from our gracious host, I thought I'd say "thank you" to him by uploading one of my own humble transcriptions. Of course my skills are vastly inferior and I need many, many hours to come up even with somethign primitive as this.... :(

Anyways: I loved the music in the 2nd half of the first "The Hobbit" teaser. The song by Mr. Shore really resonated with the dwarf inside me..... All the transcriptions on Youtube etc. were very wrong or not to my taste, so I tried it myself. It is arranged for Piano+Voice as well for Violin, Flute, Clarinet and Trombone if you like to play any of these instruments.

I hope you'll like it!

i take this opportunity to tell the same, thanks, and say as well, that from me, there will be an improvised arrangement on
- What Dreams May Come (main title and 3rd track on the Cd)
- Brother and sister + princess leia's theme + han and the princess + luke & leia
- Hook - banning back home (video already here)
- E.T - 3 milions years + et. & elliot + adventure on earth + flying theme
- vader / emperor tribute ( :) ) : approaching the death star + the emperor arrives + the death of the emperor + vader's death + the immolation scene (of vader).
- the black hole (multiple cues)
etc ...

like yoda, who is still available here : www.didiermartini.com on the tribute to JW - SW - yoda page, it will be available as a video montage + sheet with Lead sheet of the original transcription and a piano sheet of my improvisation on these tunes + mp3.

there is as well already the lead sheet of Dune on the .. Dune pagel.

Thank you! I was just listening to that first track this morning. I split the MP3 so I could have the first couple of minutes of the Beside You theme with the solo oboe as its own track. It was actually something I was considering asking for a transcription. I met a nice pretty female oboist recently and would love the chance to play some film music with her^^

hey , just to tell that my arrangement for what dreams may come is ready to be recorded (and improvised), and will include the oboe theme, and an another tune from the soundtrack but i'm moving actually to a new flat so all my recordings will be done after i move (it can take some times). so everything i planed to record is "freezed" until i moved. I already released some of the tributes i'm talking about in this previous message, Banning back home, E.T, the black hole (with guest french horn player Marc Papeghin) and Forrest Gump. you can check them on youtube : http;://www.youtube.com/user/didiermartini or on my website http://didiermartini.com , i'm actually working on the transcription sheet of my recording of i had a farm in Africa. it will be available soon for download.
and yes, it's a nice idea to invite the girl to play your oboe (ouppppps, sorry ;) ).

It's my favorite instrument^^ Looking forward to your recording once you get settled in your new place.
And if you have a transcription of it to share, I would be eternally grateful!

lol :)
it's a transcription, yes, but done for me (not sure if the guy who did it want me to share it as it is, as it's has been custom made (it's not readable like it is, it's like if all the informations of the orchestra has been put on one piano staff).
from it, i did my own lead sheet arrangement to improvise on it, like on a real book (if you know what it is). i can share it, but if you're not able to read the lead sheet, it will no use for you, and i didn't finished it, i'll do it once i moved.
but when i'll record the video, for sure, i'll do a piano transcription of my recording, and with as well the melody line and chords, so if you can wait a bit, you'll get what dreams ...as soon as i can :) (best is to subscribe to my newsletter or the rss feed to know when).

I'm still here too. Hoping to get more performances posted soon. Is WilliamsMusicLover1138 still around? I would still love to see his take on the Battle music from ROTJ and any of the Indiana Jones cues.
