Anyone living in the northeastern Us or Canada?

It's 26 degree celcius outside, and over 20 for the past 3 days

I'm almost expecting the meteor about to wipe out the earth to hit tonight

Yup in Massachusetts it has been INCREDIBLE all week. It's 77F here right now, I think it got up to 80 or 81F yesterday.

Ate lunch outside every day this week, did NOT want to go back in. Been going for walks with my GF after work too. It's just fantastic!

And BTW it's not Winter any more, yesterday was the first day of spring :)

26 degrees sounds cold.

It's near 80 here today, tornadic weather unfortunately.
OH God, Joe is posting again, someone hand me my pills!

"You're not John Conner, I saw you die, said Kyle". "I was only injured, replied John". "No, your injuries were too severe, you died. Look at you, where are your injuries? You're, you're a Terminator." "Kyle, its still me, yes my body was beyond repair, but my essence is here." He points to his head. "No John". Kyle raised his pulse rifle and aimed it at John but before he could fire, John fired first. Knocked to the ground Kyle looked up at the Terminator in the form of the man he once idolized. All hope was lost. "If you kill me how will you ever be born?" "Thats a good question Kyle, all this time we've focus on Sarah, on John, when had we known the it was you we should have targeted all along." John pointed his rifle at Kyle's face. "The resistance is finished, the battle is won. We the machines are the victors, salvation is ours." Kyle never heard the second shot.

He means Celsius. It's a more modern scale then the one you grew up with. It's based on the freezing and boiling point of water.

26 degrees is something like 78.8000000001 F.

so its only accurate when converted to a better system.

the coldest temp I've ever experienced was -41F but converted to C it's -40.55555555556
the highest temp I've ever experienced was 113F and converted to C it's 45.

thank goodness no one converted to metric time.

Joe. Everything after the decimal point is more accurate, not less!

And it works both ways. if I say it's 28 degrees C here, then in F it would be 82.4.

Neither system is more or less accurate then the other.

We could have ended the war a lot faster if FDR had the balls to stand up with Churchill and stop screwing around in North Africa. When it comes to effective military strategies, the Soviets are the only real winners of the war.

Aaannyyywayyyy...

We had some snow at the beginning of last month, but it's far too warm for that now.

We're not seeing summer temperatures yet - around 15c, but it definitely feels warmer.

There are still piles of snow left here and there in Oslo, but it's mostly mild spring weather now (temperatures between 8 and 15 C). A far cry from summer, though. And from what Alice just posted, it seems to be worse where she lives than where I live in Norway. The north of Norway still has heavy winter.

In Helsinki the snows have melted for the most part. But it is surprising how the coastal cities can be free of snow and the inland ones are still in their 1 meter snow drifts. Actually only 15 km away from the Helsinki city center the snows begin to pile up. But they have forecast +7 or +8 degrees for tomorrow. Not too shabby.

Ars superior est vita hominum.

"We pop out and come into the world and music is there. We didn't invent it - it's all organised in the atmosphere by divinity or whatever. It's a miracle." - John Williams-

I think music is a stream of some kind. It could be blood. It could be water. It could be ether. Whatever it is it seems to be a living, organic force that’s in motion, that serves humanity and is part of humanity and part of what describes us as humans. We sing, play, dance, all the things that we do. And there is a vibrant and great literature we have been given. ... As musicians, we join the stream. We swim in the stream with all the other millions of music makers. It’s a life force, a strong one, surrounding us and we are part of it. -John Williams-

The Kelvin scale and the whole SI-unit system make life much easier in a chemical engineering study. Never touch the metric system is like the golden rule.

By the way: 273,155 K (Kelvin) = 0 °C (celsius) = the melting point of water at atmospheric standard pressure p=1,01325 bar = 1atm
Used in the ideal gas law with p*V=m*R*T ------> in SI units [kg / (m*(s^2))] * [m^3] = [kg] * [J/(kg*K)] * [K]

while p is Pressure which describes the Force / Face in SI unit [Pa]=[bar]*10^5=[N/(m^2)]=[kg*(m/(s^2))/(m^2)]=[kg / (m*(s^2))]
T is the Temperature in [K]
V is the Volume in [m*m*m]=m^3
m is the mass in [kg]
R is the gas constant in [J/(kg*K)]

Well this is my lovely Summer Kitchen/Terrace which I have cleaned six times from snow this "spring".
Yesterday we got half a meter more, so I'm done. Let the sun do the job later...

Those young apple trees in the middle are 2-3 meters so there's still plenty of snow.

Actually yesterday it was chaos in my city, 50 car crashes with 200 cars. And we are used to snow here in Finland...
