John Williams sucks, he doesn't write with a quill pen, there is no emotion in pencil music ! Purcell is the man !Among all the things I have done in my short and pitiful life, becoming an inside joke on JWFAN is the one I'm the least proud of.

BTW, Presenting the Hook Film Version can replace the version on Disc 1 of the LLL right?

Is it possible to do with just the LLL tracks (and without sounding awkward)?

That's weird I got mine before you did, considering you live in the same state as La-La Land.

Nothing can be done sadly, so better than having just the OST and crappy boots.

I hope Episode III is Called 'Revenge of the Sith'

Yea you can just completely remove the version on disc 1 from your personal play list; Everything in it appears in the same quality in the disc 2 version

I haven't tried

1) The Ultimate War tracks retained a few loops that could have been undone (since I can do this myself, no big deal)
2) That friggin' dropout in the End Credits is still there!!! The stems are probably all LLL had to work with, but still... a little annoying. I'm going to try to fix this one too.
Other than that, this package is marvelous. Art direction's fantastic, sound quality's great (even the stuff from the film stems... not bad at all), the music is of course fantastic and all the important stuff is here. LLL did a hell of a job putting this together, and I couldn't possibly commend them more.

If anyone wants any pictures of the whole packaging details I'll be happy to take some pictures tomorrow.
I'm interested !
Two days to wait for me...
ARGH I can't wait !!!

Film stems or not, having the entire Ultimate War is something I've been waiting to appear for a very, very, very long time. I've been living with ChrusherComix's & Takis' early rips for soooo long! It's nice to hear it SFX free...almost seems weird.

So, is it too early now to start chanting something like "Bring on Jurassic Park next year for it's Anniversary!" I really think it could be next now, especially after the success of this.

So, just because I haven't had time to listen to the entire set yet, does this pretty much render the 2 early boots (along with the other 3-4cd boots out there) obsolete? Or is there anything that needs to be saved?

The only thing on the old boots not on the new set is the film version of The Never-Feast.
There is still music in the film itself not on the new CD that you might have heard DVD rips of.... those parts are:
-Piano music for the play at the beginning
- God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen
-drum insert for The Lost Boys Chase
-the "Pick Em Up" song
-Take Me Out To The Ballgame
-The two inserts in The Ultimate War

Jim Titus rules! What a wonderful looking design! And I love the images on the discs themselves. I am going to delve into the liner notes a bit deeper after I get my copy though. A brief look showed that they are very well written.
Ars superior est vita hominum.
"We pop out and come into the world and music is there. We didn't invent it - it's all organised in the atmosphere by divinity or whatever. It's a miracle." - John Williams-
I think music is a stream of some kind. It could be blood. It could be water. It could be ether. Whatever it is it seems to be a living, organic force that’s in motion, that serves humanity and is part of humanity and part of what describes us as humans. We sing, play, dance, all the things that we do. And there is a vibrant and great literature we have been given. ... As musicians, we join the stream. We swim in the stream with all the other millions of music makers. It’s a life force, a strong one, surrounding us and we are part of it. -John Williams-

How are the liner notes?
The liner notes are wonderful. All though I have yet go fully read through them. When I did a bit of a pass-over regarding them I enjoyed reading what I did read.

I got the CD today. It took only 4 days to arrive to The Netherlands!
And? Your first impressions?
Blown away? Or did it not quite reach your expectations?

I just started to listen to the CD. I'm at disc 1, track 6 now. Too bad they didn't fix the speed on the "Prologue". And I've always loved "The Bedroom" cue, so it's great to have it now apart from the film.

Wait, they did not fix the speed issue?
My ears say no.
When you listen to the tracks that are already on the OS album, would you say the sound quality is better on the LLL album?
The sound quality is about the same.

The bonus track version of the Prologue is the one with the speed fixed, isn't it?

The alternate version is 1:35, the normal version is 1:30.
1. Nightwatch/Killer By Night - Johnny Williams and Quincy Jones 2. Diamond Head/Gone with the Wave - Johnny Williams/Lalo Schifrin 3. Mass - Leonard Bernstein 4. Bernstein with the New York Philharmonic - Leonard Bernstein
