This guy is Ike. He is a character of Fire Emblem (a nintendo videogame).

I didn't notice that. I guess that illustrator drew a broad pommel intentionally.

I meant the bottom of the blade. But yeah there's this convention in Japanese stuff of having very large swords (even absurdly large). It's so ingrained that there's almost no point in complaining :lol:

Obviously they are compensating for something.

Ike was a pretty good president. He spearheaded the largest public works project at the time.
