bwahaha, yeah I guess I should know better after a couple of months of this madhouse.

You have only scratched the surface of our madness in that time, believe me. ;)

Ars superior est vita hominum.

"We pop out and come into the world and music is there. We didn't invent it - it's all organised in the atmosphere by divinity or whatever. It's a miracle." - John Williams-

I think music is a stream of some kind. It could be blood. It could be water. It could be ether. Whatever it is it seems to be a living, organic force that’s in motion, that serves humanity and is part of humanity and part of what describes us as humans. We sing, play, dance, all the things that we do. And there is a vibrant and great literature we have been given. ... As musicians, we join the stream. We swim in the stream with all the other millions of music makers. It’s a life force, a strong one, surrounding us and we are part of it. -John Williams-

Roger has spoken about this issue:

hmm, i can't imagine this is only on my disc?

on mine track 22 "she hung herself" is IDENTICAL to the following track 23 "cognac at night", so the piece that's actually supposed to be track 22 is missing.

what about yours?

They're the same track, but it doesn't necessary mean that another track is missing.

Interestingly I lobbied to not include tracks 16-23 at all, as I prefer to albums to be a strong presentation of the score and I find all these extras to be padding. We include them because a few people like them, but overall I think it weakens the musical presentation (I think the concept of "music as art" gets lost on collectors sometimes). Not being involved in the production of the album, I can't explain what is going on with that particular track, but considering I think of them as baggage anyway I'm not inclined to start digging into it when there are new and more exciting projects to spend time on. Perhaps Doug will address in good time, but he's swamped right now with some very tight deadlines.
