If he won now, he'd slowly walk to the podium, probably receive a small standing ovation (because he never wins these days), thank Spielberg for the thousandth time and that would be it

His thank you speech was about as long in this video as it was for Geisha's Golden Globe. I think the fast walking is more to get it over with, get the attention off of him. Nowadays he's probably too old to walk that fast for comfort.He looks less humble than he does nowadays - striding confidently up to the podium.
