You mean overall or just the Au? Because right now, ESPN has the USA leading the medal count 81-76 while China has one more gold, 35-34. These numbers are slightly different from what Yahoo reports.

ESPN and Yahoo now put Russia in third place with 52 overall, with GB bringing up the rear with 48.

We're at 13 medals, but we only have one gold, which unfortunately places us at 29 on the medal count list.

On the other hand, the British have been doing exceptionally well this year.

Well usually the home advance turns to become too much pressure...

I have to praise the US basketball team here. It is even better than the Dream Team in 1992.

The quality of the opponents have raised 340% but they are sailing from win to win.

Superstars like Bryant is obviously suffering from the low minutes(compering to LA lakers) but commitment by every player of

this team is incomprehensible and the couch seems to be very good. My precious sport this is.


And my own country; one medal this far! from surfing. I didn't even know the surfing on the net is an Olympic event...

We did just as well in Beijing, in fact we only surpassed our medal haul there on Tuesday. The British athletes have been enjoying huge popularity here since Beijing and that is set to continue through to the next games by the looks of it.

They sure do. And air conditioning, gymnasiums, three or four square meals a day, laundry and fresh linens service, medical coverage, entertainment, etc. Face it, US jails are a country club next to living in the streets.
