But it oftentimes is like having to defend Beethoven or Mozart against absolutely childish and unprofessional bashing and it gets tiresome to explain to them that they are wrong but they still won't accept it no matter what you say.In addition most of the bashing happens when comparing JW scores between other JW scores. Still, many here agree that JW is classes beyond any of the living composers and almost all dead film composers... Salacius 1

I know from personal experience that when you take this place seriously and take comments at face value, you can end up overreacting really easily. As far as Williams bashing goes, it only really happens on this site with newer material that some members feel is inferior to his older works.

Let the place follow its nature.To each their own, as they say.I think the board would have broader appeal if there was a more even balance of the two, like for example maintitles.net. Most of the time now, it seems like it's just a handful of people using most of the thread space on snappy comebacks, punchlines and aimless banter. Which is fine in moderate doses.Then again, a 'broader appeal' may not be a desirable thing for most members here(?).(for the record, I quite like the more personal threads over the non-film music board -- at least when they're on-target).
