You hate cats, I presume? Most people don't see a bengalese cat in their entire life. It's indeed pretty special to see 2 of them (not connected) on the very same day.

Nah I was just teasing by way of a classic Jason Robards Parenthood line, sorry :P

But yeah, not a fan of cats. Ren here is a big cat lover though.

The woman who had the cat on the red leash said there are only 8 of these in Belgium. Before this, I only knew them from photos in books.

My boss owns TWO of these.

They are magnificent creatures. And you can tell in their behavior they are closer to their wild heritage than your average domestic cat.

Are you a cat person, Alex?

Cats are cool. but then so are Dogs.

They're nice to have outside to keep the vermin population down, but that's really all they're good for.

I saw these a couple of times here

Very nice cats. Striking green eyes

I want one but I bet they are $$$$$$$

My sister's also acts like a wildcat, the bitch (pun intended)

Cats can be lovable creatures or little SOB's.

but they are beautiful to the eye.

It looks like a beautiful creature, and I'm not a cat person.

Great pics Alex, especially the last one.

That is a good picture.

I'm a bit of a cat person myself (I've taken care of cats from birth. They're cute when they're small.)

I'd be worried about getting it stolen , letting a rare cat like that outside

Are you a cat person, Alex?

Yes, but that doesn't mean I want one. We always had cats when I was little. Never been a fan of dogs.

It would be cool to have a Caracal though. The ancient Egyptians kept them as pets.

Does that mean I was a pharoah in a former life? Hmmmm.

Yes, they are more mysterious (than dogs) and somewhat intriguingly unpredictable.

Cats are fine, but dogs are way better. Case and point:

I can't imagine a cat doing something like this.

Dogs will do any trick for food, cats wont.

what? Cat do anything they do (show love for the owner) JUST beause the owner is the food source.

My sister has trained he cat to give you the hand, lie down, sit and roll. Just in exchange of cat's prize foods.

I once met a very loving cat who would constantly purr and climb out to you, even if it your were an stranger. I almost cried of happiness because my sister's cat hates me.

Cats are more dignified in how they show happiness. But they definitely bond.

We have two cats (mother and daughter). The mother has a tendency to call my dad for no reason, and bring him dead animals in the middle of the night as offering. And the daughter basically sits at the table at lunch time...

I prefer cats over dogs. Cats generally can take care of themselves better than dogs. They're not quite as annoying and they tend to sleep next to you with out getting in the way. They also don't bark (go meow crazy) at everything like dogs tend to do. I know when I eventually move Dawn here and get our own place we will be getting a cat.

Cats are self-sufficient. Leave a bowl of water and food out and they're fine. Siamese are very attention hungry, and not for food. One of mine is pretty much a wild cat that only lives with us during the winter. This time of the year is annoying as hell cause he follows me wherever I go meowing like crazy. I'll give him attention so he'll go away but he just comes back 20 minutes later.

We had a lot of Siamese cats and also a Havana or two. Havana cats are beautiful too.

That's the downside of keeping pets. They die!

Posted

It's the same for me, actually. You get attached and then one day they are gone.

I actually had a dog and a cat. The dog was very already old already and one day simply disappeared (it must have been hit by a car or something like it) and the cat died a year later (at first you could tell she was looking for the dog, they got along quite well). I was quite young then. Now there are two cats at home after some funny events but I've never been able to consider them mine. I actually don't want animals anymore to be taken care of. Even though I like animals a lot.

The siamese cat originally appeared randomly near the house and ended up sticking around.

er?

As in pussy cat?

No. Pussy as in "A man crying of happiness because a cat is coming near him"

your signature is too cute for a man :biglaugh:

i was exaggerating anyway.

Which is why I'll probably never get any more in my life. Not to mention they can end up being pretty expensive.
