R.I.P. Larry Hagman

It is with sad news that we announce Larry passed away this afternoon, Friday, Nov. 23, 2012.

His family has released this statement:

"Larry was back in his beloved Dallas re-enacting the iconic role he loved most.

Larry's family and close friends had joined him in Dallas for the Thanksgiving holiday.

When he passed, he was surrounded by loved ones. It was a peaceful passing, just as he had wished for."

The family requests privacy at this time.

Aye, a tv legend. Saw him only a few months ago on a beeb chat show promoting Dallas. He looked old, but reasonably okay. I guess he wasn't. RIP.

I Dream Of Jeannie was part of my childhood, and Dallas was a huge hit mainly because of his immortal character.

I've never seen Dallas, but as a kid I regularly watched Jeannie. Of course back then I didn't know any of the actors. Later, for a while, I confused him with Tony Curtis, for whatever reason.

Hagman seems to have been a really decent person.
