Each of the storylines are straigthfoward and pretty clear to me (apart maybe from the post-apocalyptic one, which has some parts that are hard to understand). All of them are interesting to some degree, but if you think about it, there isn't much happening in each and everyone of them. And that's where one of my main problems with the film lies.

Aren't you talking about Cloud Atlas here and not the Life of Pi? Unless I am mistaken about the plot of The Life of Pi entirely.

EDIT: Hey, I just noticed the guy took that sentence directly from my review of the film! Maybe he was just trying to quote it and answer to it.
