welshslider 2 Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 Every day without thinking, and this has been happening for many years now I whistle the signature tune from Jurassic Park. Some days I may throw in a bit of Marion's theme or Yoda's theme but consistently Jurassic Park is there. Does anyone else do the same? I must add its a quiet whistle just to myself as I know whistling can be annoying to others.
chuck 155 Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 The first three minutes of Adventures On Earth. On a loop. welshslider 1
indy4 160 Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 I don't whistle, and I don't have any single tune stuck in my head at all times. But for the past year or so I've had "We Shall Do It!" from Thomas and the King stuck in my head.
Rachael Foley 10,162 Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 Depends on what score I am listening to.Usually the bouncier music, like Yoda's theme etc.And I usually hum/scat.
Sandor 918 Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 I don't whistle, and I don't have any single tune stuck in my head at all times. But for the past year or so I've had "We Shall Do It!" from Thomas and the King stuck in my head.Oh man, I feel sorry for you..! That's like the worst song ever written..!And at least once a day I whistle The Force Theme, Luke's Theme or the bridge melody from The Raiders' March.
Delorean90 47 Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 "Scherzo for Motorcycle and Orchestra." I haven't done it as much lately, but I used to do that ALL the time, sometimes without even thinking about it.
Thor 9,362 Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 Nothing on a daily basis, of course, and I usually don't go around whistling either. However, I HAVE had some Williams themes buzz around in my head for days, even humming them out loud now and then. One that often keeps reappearing is the slave children theme from TEMPLE OF DOOM. Must be something with the half-tones, which I love.In any case, these "ear worms" come and go. Haven't had one in a while now.
Quintus 6,495 Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 Shark Cage Fugue and Quidditch fanfares are regulars through my lips, and I don't even like Harry Potter.
indy4 160 Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 I don't whistle, and I don't have any single tune stuck in my head at all times. But for the past year or so I've had "We Shall Do It!" from Thomas and the King stuck in my head.Oh man, I feel sorry for you..! That's like the worst song ever written..!Not at all! I love Thomas and the King, and that's one of my favorite tunes from the score.
Walid 3 Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 Hedwig's Theme. I can't get it out of my head. like... ever.
Uni 307 Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 I have a few that always seem to come out as a whistle: "Journey to the Island," "Desert Chase" from Raiders, "Harry's Wondrous World," "The Shark Cage Fugue," and the theme from Far and Away. Not sure why these always come to mind, but there it is.- Uni
nightscape94 968 Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Oddly, I don't whistle any Williams tunes. The one piece of music I whistle more than any other is the main melody from Tannhauser (Wagner).
chuck 155 Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 I also like to whistle the March from 1941. Pretty catchy.
Jay 46,242 Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 or the bridge melody from The Raiders' March.Bridge melody?
Rachael Foley 10,162 Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 or the bridge melody from The Raiders' March.Bridge melody? 1:10"So, he made the latter, the bridge, and the former, the main theme" - Steven Spielberg
Quintus 6,495 Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 Jason didn't even know the Raiders bridge???Just who exactly is this man moderating us? How can we even be sure he's who he says he is? Can he even be trusted with the keys?
Rachael Foley 10,162 Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 He probably just was confused with Sandor calling it "The Bridge melody", instead of "The B Theme" or "The B part".
Jay 46,242 Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 What Spielberg is whistling at 1:10 of that video is the B Theme
Quintus 6,495 Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 To think he even once dressed up as Indiana Jones and yet he still doesn't know it's the bridge!
Jay 46,242 Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 What Spielberg is whistling in the stamp stamp indicated is the B Theme. I'm sure the original poster was referring to some different part of the concert arrangement as the "bridge melody", I just don't know which part
Rachael Foley 10,162 Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 What Spielberg is whistling in the stamp stamp indicated is the B Theme.did you hear/read the quote? He made the B theme, the bridge of the Concert Arrangment, and used the A theme as the main theme.
Naïve Old Fart 13,021 Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 For personal reasons, I'm not whistling much of anything, at the moment, but I like to whistle "Window To The Past".
ShowUStheHOOK 8 Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 lately for some reason I've had Marion's THeme , Raiders March, or The Bb trumpet theme from Jurassic park ( don't know what its called. just how i describe it) in my head.
crocodile 9,724 Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Can someone whistle the whole Mine Car Chase? Karol
Rachael Foley 10,162 Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 I have whistled Slalom on Mount Humol before.
alicebrallice 134 Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 I don't whistle much... I sing/hum! in the shower, loudly! call of the champions is great for morning showers, I tell you.
Brónach 1,330 Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 If I start singing in the shower people will hear me in the morning and it will be weird.
alicebrallice 134 Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 weird? why will it be weird? it will be awesome! I wish all of my neighbors could hear me sing jw in the shower. gotta represent!
Rachael Foley 10,162 Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 I don't whistle much... I sing/hum! in the shower, loudly! call of the champions is great for morning showers, I tell you.Imperial March (Aboard the Executor version) for me.
alicebrallice 134 Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 a bit heavy for morning showers, don't you think?night showers however...
Jonesy 55 Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 I don't whistle much... I sing/hum! in the shower, loudly! call of the champions is great for morning showers, I tell you.Imperial March (Aboard the Executor version) for me.Yoda's Theme would be a better choice, in my opinion.
Rachael Foley 10,162 Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Arrival at Dagohbah is for morning showers, droid motif FTW.
