Thanks to Jeff Eldridge at FSM (http://www.filmscoremonthly.com/board/posts.cfm?forumID=1&pageID=1&threadID=93880&archive=0),

a General Electric Theater episode was confirmed (among 4) to have a Williams score.

I present you here the End Credits of the specific episode ("Journey to a Wedding - Season 9 Episode 7) which as Mr. Eldridge says "boasts a lovely melody".

(it reminds me of Heidi a bit)

Thanks for sharing this filmmusic. :)

It does sound quite lovely.

You're welcome,

By the way, he did seem to have a gift for melody from early on!

Do you notice that sloppy editing in the music?

Well, that's not due to the video. The video plays fine, it doesn't skip frames (that someone might assume judging from the music).

So, it seems they couldn't edit better back then?

Yeah, that was a great confirmation from Jeff. We still have several more episodes to confirm (only 4 out of a possible 9 have been confirmed). Thanks for sharing the end titles.

That sounds quite lovely indeed. Listening to this, I wonder if we'll ever get another composer who has such a gift for writing themes and melodies.

The tune almost sounds like a Georges Delerue piece. Very unlike the more 'storm und drang'-like stuff he was writing for television at the time.

Well, at least in my opinion, Korzeniowski has it!

His melody for A Single Man is the best i have heard in the last 10 years, and also exquisite are his themes for W.E.

Korzeniowski is great. But A Single Man and W.E., while being good scores, aren't exactly good examples of great melody (Copernicus' Star might be). Korzeniowski is talented at creating a beautiful whole, but his themes and melody aren't quite finely crafted to the degree of Williams' tunes.
