Scream
Needed: Varèse Deluxe Edition and bootleg. Just take the Deluxe Edition and pull the missing tracks from the bootleg. Those need to have their volume raised, though. Tracklist:

30 Prescott's Car
31 Killer Stabs Billy
32 Hairbrush

I haven't rewatched the film though - I presume the bootleg's order was correct (apart from having the End Credits track a few tracks earlier).

I watched the film through recently. According to your list it should go 30, 32 then 31. Otherwise everything else is correct.

Additionally, I also posted the other Scream films here.

ALICE IN WONDERLAND

Alice in Wonderland (CSSB)

25, 2, 26 (:00-:26), 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, 8, 11, 26 (:26-End), 27, 12, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 14, 15, 17, 33, 46 (Parapet), 16, 34, 18, 20*, 35*, 21, 42 (Futterwacken), 22, 23, 1
* = Tracks 20 and 35 are spliced together in the movie. The transition between tracks is jarring, no matter what is done. This is the best chronological order without major editing.
Bonus/Unused Tracks:
7, 10, 13, 19, 24, 45 (Alternate Main Titles), 36, 37, 38, 39

I found the For Your Consideration promo and added it to the list. It adds a few minutes to the existing releases.

Thanks for the correction on Scream - I changed it. Should have known by the titles alone that that one was wrong!

Yeah I saw that addition on Alice; I'll take a look at arranging everything available in order in two weeks or so myself. At first glance I'm noticing a mistake - the Proposal/Down the Hole track on the promo should be put in the main order - as it has the orchestral choir rather than the synth choir on the OST.

I don't know if you're a Twin Peaks fan, but have you taken a look at putting everything from Twin Peaks in chrono order? There are some great breakdowns over at the Dugpa forum, but they're massive lists and none of them is in the traditional 'editing guide' format.

Ah, thanks for mentioning that. I recall hearing that when I was going through the tracks but apparently I forgot during editing. I corrected it on the post I linked to and gave you credit for that. Please let me know if you find anything else.

I haven't ever seen Twin Peaks but I've heard many great things about it. That might be something I need to explore.

Here is a revised chronological order of the Amistad album. The final track Dry Your Tears Afrika (Reprise) is just a clean opening edit of the track 1. Track 1 is also the actual first part of End Credits.
The humming of Cinque's Theme in the opening of track 1 is tracked into several places in the film and appears as the main titles music which is why I decided to put it first in the list.
Track 7 The Long Road to Justice does not appear anywhere in the film itself but as the second part of the End Credits.
Track 4 Cinque's Theme seems to be either a pure concert arrangement or an alternate for one of the cues in the film.

Amistad (1997)
Chronological Album Sequence
1. Dry Your Tears Afrika (Track 1 0:00-0:22)
2. July 4, 1839 (Track 8)
3. Sierra Leone, 1839 and the Capture of Cinque (Track 2)
4. Mr. Adams Takes the Case (Track 9, 0:00-3:47)
5. La Amistad Remembered (Track 10)
6. Mr. Adams Takes the Case (Track 9, 3:47-end)
7. Cinque’s Memories of Home (Track 5)
8. Crossing the Atlantic (Track 3)
9. Middle Passage (Track 6)
10. Cinque’s Theme (Track 4)
11. Liberation of Lomboko (0:00-1:56)
12. Adams’ Summation (Track 12)
13. Liberation of Lomboko (1:57-end)
14. Going Home (Track 13)
15 Dry Your Tears Afrika (Track 1)
16. The Long Road to Justice (Track 7)

Ars superior est vita hominum.

"We pop out and come into the world and music is there. We didn't invent it - it's all organised in the atmosphere by divinity or whatever. It's a miracle." - John Williams-

I think music is a stream of some kind. It could be blood. It could be water. It could be ether. Whatever it is it seems to be a living, organic force that’s in motion, that serves humanity and is part of humanity and part of what describes us as humans. We sing, play, dance, all the things that we do. And there is a vibrant and great literature we have been given. ... As musicians, we join the stream. We swim in the stream with all the other millions of music makers. It’s a life force, a strong one, surrounding us and we are part of it. -John Williams-

Thor Kills the Destroyer is the Yggdrasil cue at the end, right after Can You See Jane?. I think there's a difference in pitch for some reason. The real Thor Kills the Destroyer is not on the OST (ridiculous listening decision). Earth to Asgard is said to be an alternate of something. That's all I know.

could it be pitch shifted in the film? kind of like in Superman the movie?

which version of Thor Kils the Destroyer is the Yggdrasil cue? and what is the OST version vs. the unused version, and the Version 1 that was used in the end credits?

I'm only familiar with the End Credits cue in the OST and in the film, I don't know what else there is.

This is the film one:

Then there's this one:

I'm under the impression, due to the Sons of Odin theme and the change later at 0:34 (is that an edit or weird writing?), that this is an alternate of the actual Thor Kills the Destroyer cue and not the Yggdrasil cue.

Because the film version of Thor Kills the Destroyer is this one:

And I also don't know if there's an edit here in the tornado sfx moment.

I'm confused.

Anybody have a chronological order for Thor?

Earth to Asgard is said to be an alternate of something.

Apparently its a "remix" of "Prologue"

John Williams sucks, he doesn't write with a quill pen, there is no emotion in pencil music ! Purcell is the man !

I don't know, it may have been a person misusing the term also, it may just be an alternate of ETA.

Earth to Asgard is the second half of the end credits, after the album version of Thor Kills The Destroyer and the Foo Fighters song.

Unfortunately, very few of the film versions made the album IIRC.
Repeat the JWFan pledge after me: 'I hereby recognise John Towner Williams' place in the world as the great composer there has ever been, and I therefore renounce the works of Rozsa, Korngold, Herrmann, Horner, Kamen, Giacchino (unless the prophecy is fulfilled and he becomes the heir to JTW) and Goldsmith, especially Goldsmith. I understand that if I ever refer to Jurassic Park as anything less than "a masterpiece sixty-five million years in the making" I will be resigned to living out my days at the Zimmershrine.'

Wow. Six years to the day after I originally posted what I thought was the chronological list to this score (see post #257) I've all but completed listing this score in order.

Two tracks that remained unsequenced, "Kilrain's Ride" and "Dawn" puzzled me to no end as to there place in the film and I even doubted they were actually used in the film. I revisited Gettysburg again after I started watching part of the film again yesterday and even though I had not watched the parts were the below mentioned tracks are in the film it triggered something. So I was able to go back and....lo and behold I was able to finally place them in the film.

"Kilrain's Ride" is incorrectly titled and has nothing to do with the character of "Buster" Kilrain and is heard, slightly truncated, during the scene where General Lee says 'My orders to all Commanders, attack!". While mainly used in the scene above however, I believe approximately the last 30 seconds may be used in the scene where General Longstreet is talking with General Pickett about bringing up his Regiment into Gettysburg by the following night.

"Dawn" is heard the morning after the battle of Little Round Top where the Chamberlain brothers are sitting on the rocks before being told they're to move to the centre of the Union lines. The track as heard in the film is shorter and the remaining music may be used in an as yet unidentified scene.

Hello all. Is there a chronlogical order for The Last Samurai? It is probably a right pain in the behind, given it is in suite form, but I did not see one posted elsewhere.
