You have far too much time on your hands!

Come on! You're a father, yet you spend more time on this forum than with your daughter. Poor Bella wants her daddy, but where is he, huh? Where is he?
When you'll finally move your eyes away from the computer screen, she will have turned 18!

We all have far too much time on our hands.

Exactly Lee. Dom is sitting with me snuggling and I'm on my phone.

I was at my computer last night when I was typing PMs. That's it

Having thrown the pc out years ago I only own a laptop nowadays, which has basically been relegated to torrent downloader since we got the iPad.

It's funny how owning a tablet has made me regress and streamline my computing/online habits. I too used to enjoy mucking about with Photoshop, making animated gifs, banners and stuff; using music editing software, mixing music together, putting it over video; spending time here typing up big essay posts, arguing endlessly with Alexcremers with comprehensive quotations and amusing back-and-forth. But now? Now I don't even use two hands to type. I've never been so rapidly efficient with my index finger. When typing, ahem.

So, that's how you raise your kid? By showing her Stiff's posts? I'm calling the children's services!

Can I "dislike" your post BB :(

Why? Because I said that this forum is more important than family for the Englishman? I ain't judging, I'm just stating a fact!

So, what you're basically saying is that iPads will be the end of JWFAN?

Sadly I don't know what I would do with one of those.

Hey, I mean no harm to the Englishman or his family. He knows that (well, I hope he does). My post was just directed toward this forum, who destroys lives. It's an addiction, it's a drug, and there's no cure for it.

Where is Abe Lincoln in all this folks! More Lincoln in this thread! Less family related drama! :stick:

Ars superior est vita hominum.

"We pop out and come into the world and music is there. We didn't invent it - it's all organised in the atmosphere by divinity or whatever. It's a miracle." - John Williams-

I think music is a stream of some kind. It could be blood. It could be water. It could be ether. Whatever it is it seems to be a living, organic force that’s in motion, that serves humanity and is part of humanity and part of what describes us as humans. We sing, play, dance, all the things that we do. And there is a vibrant and great literature we have been given. ... As musicians, we join the stream. We swim in the stream with all the other millions of music makers. It’s a life force, a strong one, surrounding us and we are part of it. -John Williams-

I know exactly the kind of performance Neeson would give. I like the idea of DDL better, there's more room for surprises.

The book the film is based on (albeit, part of the book) is a really good read; almost like a reading a novel, I'd say. I wonder if this photo will be the basis for the film's poster ?

Liam Neeson was too busy doing crummy action movies. He wouldn't take a role where he's the one getting shot.

I predict disappointing box office and similar weird reception as War Horse. Some will love, some will hate, the rest won't know how to feel and inevitably just forget! Most will attack the overbearing schmaltzy John Williams score.

Not at all. Spielberg likes to keep secrecy on his more personal movies as much as he can. He has expressed many times his dislike of modern marketing strategies.
