About Me

Hi guys, my name is Alain and I am a composer of both concert music and film music.

I was the composer on the Jackie Chan animated feature "The Legend of Silk Boy", a big live orchestral score that really was an opportunity to show my love for the adventure score of the 70's and 80's, especially those by the composer we are here to celebrate. That score was released on the Movie Score Media label, and ended up with great reviews, was on Jim Lochner's top 10 score of 2010, and was #12 on Critics Choice top 50 for 2010, tabulated by Soundtrack Geek.

I am a trained composer and currently composer-in-residence with the Vancouver Metropolitan Orchestra.

John Williams is the reason I got into music, no doubt about it. My first musical love was that Star Wars, and I still own the original 1977 vinyl, which is here in my studio.
