  1. I had to take it down for a specific reason sorry!
  2. Also if anyone wanted to check up on me, I think that is completely fair btw, here is some of my music. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DSmhGd7jD-0/?igsh=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ== I always look up people who are giving advice or analysis
  3. One other thing I wanted to ask of people with non professional audio gear or hearing: are people able to hear the edits and "image coming apart" when I describe it in these videos?
  4. What a completely reasonable reply, too bad you didn’t live in LA we could he best buds.
  5. Its interesting I sort of value the opposite approach on long-form YouTube videos. When people state an opinion, I want some juicy evidence as to why they think that, what their evidence is, and what their thought process is to arrive at such an opinion. From there, I might be able to actually learn something; otherwise, its just a sort of standard opinion and we all know what people say about opinions Since I am using my real name, I also have to be sensitive too, especially since I regularly work with major orchestras and talent and even with JW in the past too - i was his score proofreader on two of the star wars and BFG. If you worked with BSO on the DSCH symphonies, maybe you'd like this one! Tell us more about your job - sounds dope. I didnt even know there was a Tokyo concert!! Its going to be hard to trump the Berlin recording though, its some of the best JW that exists
  6. yes the berlin is quite a bit better, I found many issues in the vienna - you can visit that old thread if you wish
  7. I used to have an account here in the early 2000s lots of music nerd talk!
  8. Going back to my roots here with a deep-dive into some JW. Here are two other JW videos in a similar style you may enjoy.
  9. Horner knew lots of things, I imagine he listened all day to music when he was young.
  10. This is probably my favorite piece of TV "Scoring" (granted it was a confusing combination of pre-existing music with a source feel). I've always wondered what gave it such a raw and imperfectly perfect sound so I did a transcription (that I started about 10 years ago).
  11. Anyone have a wav file of the main title on this edition? i am going to transcribe it
  12. Does anyone have information on the John Wilson version? I cannot seem to find the sheet music for it (well I found parts of it that match but with additions) Herbert Stothart (1885 – 1949) / Harold Arlen (1905 – 1986) 3 Suite from ‘The Wizard of Oz’ (1939) 11:08 (Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer) for Orchestra Orchestrated by George Bassman (1914 – 1997), Murray Cutter (1902 – 1983), and Leo Arnaud (1904 – 1991) Grandioso – Alla marcia – Slower – Vivace – Con moto [tempo alla marcia] – Slower – Con moto – Presto – [Meno mosso] – Presto – [Accellerando] – A tempo [Presto] – Exquisite lento (quasi rubato) – Poco più mosso – Più mosso – Andantino – Molto grandioso – Allegro moderato – L’istesso tempo – L’istesso tempo – Misterioso, poco meno mosso – Moderato con rubato – Presto – Poco meno mosso – L’istesso tempo – Allegro – Andante con rubato – Meno mosso – Andante con rubato – Poco più mosso – Andante con rubato – Maestoso
  13. I am talking the 80's albums with the classic Richard Rodgers Waltzes, Pops Salutes the Oscars etc.. they are insanely good and clever. Does anyone else enjoy them like me? I'd LOVE to get my hands on a score PDF :) :)
