My problem with Giacchino is that his music never really soars. It's always light hearted and emotionally barren. This might be due in part to Wallin's infamous mixing but I think there's something missing in the compositions themselves.

In the opening scenes I felt dread when Bane was on screen but later on they pussify him and he loses all of his intimidation factor.

I really liked it! It seemed really silly at times (Really? Nolan did the classic "Call the Preisdent" scene) but I found it really satisfying and exciting.
