That performance is an absolute favorite of mine.

First instant purchase of 2026 for me. Between DuckTales and Star Trek: TNG, Ron Jones was the soundtrack to a big part of my youth.

Ordered! Excited to see this one. Not very familiar with the score or the film so this will be fun to explore.

I ordered mine from Oxford last Friday and it arrived today. I was shocked to see it in the mailbox. Although, I also purchased the ebook because I was impatient, so I've already started reading but happy to have the real thing. What a gorgeous book.

I've asked if they have any formal guidance or just, "yeah that feels like too many." The 300 page number was something I found in a random support thread on an unrelated issue and one of their support staff commented that. Personally, I don't feel like 300 is a lot given modern compute resources, etc. But if the code itself has issues handling it, I get it. And obviously we hit an issue here. I'll wait to hear what they say and we can go from there.

I would say locking and continuing them in new threads linking to the previous isn’t a bad idea but I’ll do a little more research. They do say that threads of 300+ pages are outside what they consider normal for their platform.

Basically, it was (is) a bug in the latest version of our forum software impacting large threads. They had a hotfix/patch for it. Not a new version of the software but a patch for exactly this issue. I deployed that patch and it did the trick. Sorry for not getting to it sooner.

Missing posts issue should be resolved now. Please let me know if anyone notices anything else. Thanks!

Did some digging tonight and I can't find anything wrong. I've run some maintenance via the forum and backend on the database, all indexes look good, etc. Will keep investigating in the morning and will open a case with our forum software support too if needed. Please let me know if it seems to "spread" beyond that one page. Really strange, but we will get to the bottom of it.

Yep. I was just asking for some to look at off the top of your head. I see a few of those threads. I am going to run some maintenance on the DB tonight. I can't promise the missing posts will come back but will resolve it one way or another.

Is this the longest thread on the forum? I can run some queries on the database later on of course, but just curious if there's another one off the top that I can test with? EDIT: Nevermind. There are much longer threads.

So strange. I'll be honest...I have no idea off the top of my head what's going on. I will dig into it later tonight once I get done with work.

As far as we know, is it just from this one thread?

I've been swamped at work today and haven't had time to look into this but is it just the one post missing or are multiple gone as far as we know?
