  1. I'm seeing it in 46 hours The forum will be flooded by reports by then !
  2. Yeah It's pretty fun to spot when you do a chronological listen of his scores. From Far & Away to Home Alone to Hook. From Sorcerer's Stone to Attack of the Clones to Catch Me If You Can. From War of the Worlds to Indiana Jones 4...
  3. Amistad didn't come to mind, but the last phrase from the Ark Theme in Raiders did.
  4. Not being nominated would be a big surprise. A win is a long shot, but if the movie manages to stay or come back in the conversation next february, and if the music is noticeable enough, I can see it happen.
  5. Wow, that tension bit at the end sounds really fresh !
  6. Well I listened to it again just before posting, it's nice, sure, with some great flute solos, but not the show stopper I hoped it would be when we discovered the track list back in 2016
  7. Hmm I have about 0 knowledge of Herrmann's soundtrack albums.
  8. Lol, why not I voted for "Caught...". 6 minutes of music, seems like it might have some robust action and/or emotionnal development. With 7 minutes and a title like that, "Celestial..." is the most eye-catching, but I'm reminded of "Dream Country" in the BFG, which promised 10 minutes of magical lyricism and didn't quite reach those heights IMO
  9. The track titles look like they're from a Zimmer album, which means either that JW has changed his ways at 94, or that he was influenced by producers insisting on a mysterious and ominous feel. I love that the first track is "Listen...", and that the final track is "Reprise...". If that's the final word on Williams' scoring career, it fits beautifully, as a call to always come back to the music.
  10. sounds a bit like AI yes, though I wouldn't mind if it proved accurate!
  11. Come on Spielberg, what's the point of pulling Williams out of retirement only to bury his score under dialogues and sound effects !
  12. Of course the first reviews are glowing, the contrary would be surprising. But they didn't have to mention the score, so I choose to believe it's a good sign that they did ! Well too bad about the texture, but at least it's really layered
  13. Well, Colbert sounds like he was mostly being polite when he said the score was beautiful, but nevertheless, it was a beautiful moment, the two of them talking about JW.
