at least for patients with this illness
The impact of kidney disease
Kidney disease and disease of the urinary tract cause roughly 830,000 deaths worldwide every year.4 Globally, CKD is the 12th leading cause of death and the 17th leading cause of disability.4 Sadly, the numbers may in fact be much higher than what has been recorded. This is due to the fact that people with CKD are also at high risk for heart disease and stroke, which are more likely to be recorded as the cause of death than CKD.4 Moreover, patients with cardiovascular disease are at high risk of CKD, which may go unrecognized because of the similarity of symptoms between the 2 diseases.

I'm currently writing a new piece. Its very much in the style of Jerry Goldsmith's CHINATOWN. Kind of a bluesy, solo trumpet piece ( with piano, bass, drums, strings, in the background ). Other than Jerry's score to CHINATOWN, does anyone have any recommendations for pieces to listen to as reference on how to write this? I must say this is uncharted territory for me as a composer so its a bit intimidating, but i've always liked that bluesy, minor key sound and wanted to give it a go. Any advice?
