you should now listen to the Memoirs Suite for Cello and Orchestra, available in Sony's American Masters' Collection dedicated to Williams. It is a six movement piece with each piece a significant reworking of the original soundtrack. It is my favorite lengthy William's work of the last 10 years.

Thank you for bringing this album to my attention. After reading the comments here I was interested in the selections from Memoirs but in the end I've loved the majority of the album but not the concert arrangement of Memoirs, though it's not bad of course I still prefer the score album versions, but it's nice to have the different arrangement anyway. I'm sure it'll grow on me after repeated listens. I've bought the album on iTunes and it's going to be an album I will return to often. The third disc is just heavenly and the Williams fan in me is completely satisfied.

I'm listening to Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb for the first time in a long while. Any fan of Williams' Indy scores needs to get this. It's probably a better Indy score than the last Indy score.

Yes definitely! This big meaty action music, the only problem with the soundtrack is, a good part of the music is done by synths, and very cheap sounding too. But the orchestral cues more than make up for that fact.

This will knock your socks off !!!!! The Kraken's Lair

This is a tough one, I love all 3 films, and scores equally. They all give me goosebumps and a great time. But if I have to pick on to take with me to a deserted island:

Score: Superman: thrills, emotion, themes, all of them in abundance. Classic Williams which can't be beaten.

Movie: CE3K: because of the sci-fi theme, many spine-tingling moments, Spielberg's direction, his attention to the characters, and the score of course.

I've just now registered here (bit of a lurker until now) to let everyone know I've done my best to correct the volume issues on 'The Ultimate War'. Something LLL should have done to begin with.

Now I don't consider myself a sound editor, but on a personal basis I've been doing this for a while now, and though it was not easy to get right, it was a real pleasure, with music of this magnitude. And it turned out pretty well, if I do say so myself. :)

If anyone would be interested in hearing it, feel free to PM me.

On top of that I've done a complete and chronological overhaul (as much as possible) of the entire score.
