A very unpopular and not widely held opinion, but I'm curious if there's others who cite TLC as their least favorite of all five Indy films, even with both Crystal Skull and Dial Of Destiny included? I still like it a lot and think it's a good movie, but for some reason I just don't enjoy it as much as the others. Far too comical and wacky in tone with the slapstick and sitcom-esque humor constantly undermining the tension. Making both Marcus and Sallah into silly and useless comic relief who have so many embarrassing moments. A very boring and forgettable villain with Donovan. The movie is also never nearly as exciting for me as the first two are and while there's good action scenes such as the tank, nothing ever really grabs me like the truck chase in Raiders and the entire last third of Temple Of Doom. While many like that it goes back to the basics of Raiders, I find this is actually a detriment to it; trying to be so much like Raiders again with the Nazis, another bible-inspired artifact, etc. felt very repetitive and uninspired after how well TOD showed these aren't always needed for Indy. The opening with young Indy comes off as so tacky too, with the revelation he got his whip, fedora, chin scar, fear of snakes, etc. all in one afternoon. And for all of the ragging people give to the likes of nuking the fridge or the raft used as a paracute, these same people are perfectly fine with an immortal Knight living in a cavern for hundreds of years? Which for me is still the biggest "WTF?!" moment of the series. It's still a good movie and it definitely has it's high points like the aformentioned tank scene as well as the excellent interplay beween Indy and his father; without a doubt it's the high point of the film. But while it's a good film for some reason I just don't enjoy it as much as the rest and don't agree with the high pedestal many often put it on. I think for me I just far prefer the much more hard-edged, dark tone of the first two and how they evoked the vintage pulp adventure serials that inspired the character in the first place. The "pulpy" feeling was something sadly lost in TLC and it felt more like a Bond film. With the latter two how they went for something a bit different, rather than just trying to be Raiders Part II like TLC essentially does. Crystal Skull and Dial Of Destiny have their flaws, but I can appreciate they went for something a bit different and not so formulaic. DOD for me actually felt closer to the tone of the first two. I know this opinion is incredibly unpopular and uncommon to cite TLC as the least favorite Indy film and especially with the two more recent films included, but I'm genuinely curious as to others who feel similarly here. To me there's no bad Indy films at all.

Don't forget the centuries-old Grail Knight.

Long time since I was last here. Slightly updated rankings after Dial Of Destiny: TOD ROTLA DOD KOTCS TLC I know, I know. All are great though, and I feel DOD was a worthy finale.

Good to see this is still here. After seeing Blade Runner 2049, Harrison can no doubt so Indy one more time but the time is now to get on it.

I got no doubt Harrison has it in him to do Indy a final time after seeing how awesome he did as Han in The Force Awakens.

Now this is both unique and controversial.

Which that could work, Ford and Pratt look too dissimilar from each other to pass as the same person.

With the Chris Pratt as Indy rumors going about, after seeing him in Jurassic World I could get behind him as Indy. But it'll be hard if not impossible seperating him from Harrison.

Been a while since this thread was last active, but guess which movie character Empire Magazine voted the best of all-time? Nothing big I know, but a cool and surprising bit of news I thought I'd share.

Ghostbusters (2016 reboot)

I never get this complaint people often have towards GB2. So what if they smoke and drink less? They didn't do it that much in the first one either and it wasn't part of what made it good. This reboot IMO is a terrible idea, best to let Ghostbusters rest in peace with the two films and both of the animated series as well as the comics and video game. They waited too long to make another and so much can go wrong at this point.

Can't remember if I mentioned Young Indy before here. I've seen some rank the Young Indy series in with the films. It's been too long since I last watched any of the episodes to compare the show with the films.
