What Is The Last Film You Watched? (Older Films)
Quintus replied to Mr. Breathmask's topic in General Discussion
I forgot to mention I watched Companion the other week, which ended up being better than I thought it was going to be. It's a bit like Megan but less like Chucky, which is what Megan is like. -
Pope Leo XIV quotes Tolkien in the latest encyclical
Quintus replied to Edmilson's topic in Tolkien Central
If the Pope was going to quote great authors, he could have said this instead: I don't like AI slop. It's coarse and rough and irritating, and it gets everywhere. -
DISCLOSURE DAY - First single "Listen..." released June 4th
Quintus replied to Under-Terrestrial's topic in JOHN WILLIAMS
I never heard Amistad so I am unaffected by any similarities. It's like when I quite liked the Navi community theme, without realising Horner has almost verbatim lifted it from one of his previous scores like he loved to do. Didn't affect me. -

What Is The Last Film You Watched? (Older Films)

Stop with the once-thought blatantly obvious actuality of what happens in the film. Tallguy was definitely watching a totally different movie all these years. Damn, you were watching a different version of E.T. to everyone else though. -

This just seems to be your deep misinterpretation of what 'people' are saying. -

I honestly haven't a clue what your angle is. You seem to be talking about something different to myself. Don't worry about it though, it's not important. -

Harsh conclusion. A bit unfair. -

Sorry I think there's been a misunderstanding; I was referring to everything that happens before Roy successfully making it to the landing site event, where he finally becomes at ease. But he is clearly very tormented throughout the film prior to that, or after being imprinted with the images, rather. -

In the most recent interviews with Spielberg on Disclosure Day junkets, he now speaks more open-ended about Neary's decision to leave, as if he's picked up on some of the controversy surrounding his previous remarks made in the early 2000s where he was much more forthright about how he would have changed the script. Perhaps Spielberg momentarily forgot that Roy was completely obsessed after all.
