  1. https://open.spotify.com/episode/02PpmI69l5Ah6hSEUqjoST?si=LPN_p18ETyeq38scnbw6lA More details here on Lorne leaving, basically Max / Alfie were on board since early last year, based on them saying they've spent 13 months working on the film.
  2. That's been their conscious process on Mission since Rogue Nation - nothing to do with COVID and strikes but they feel it's better creatively
  3. There is footage of Ilsa in that opening montage. Just before Julia appears. But yeah basically post Dead Reckoning underperforming and the extra year delay, from McQuarrie's interviews...they basically tried to make it more standalone and jetissoned a lot of bits. As for the test screenings I am guessing this is where the very expository nature of the first act and even the flashbacks come from. McQuarrie has spoken at length before about believing these films need to be crystal clear (even if not all the dialogue sticks) and require no homework. I have said this in too many places before so apologies if I am repeating myself in this thread but yeah I think the pivot from PART TWO kinda is the straw that broke the first hour's back.
  4. I think that's part of the end credits suite. And Encore isn't in that promo video.
  5. I'm guessing at this point it'll drop Friday... hopefully. The soundtrack is clearly done and mastered based on the samples played on Edith Bowman's podcast interview with McQuarrie. Something I've been thinking about since seeing the film...if in a theoretical "complete" cut combining Dead Reckoning and Final Reckoning as one two part film as initially envisioned, what bits from Lorne's score could carry over here and vice versa with Max/Alfie's. EDIT: slight spoiler for those who haven't seen the film but...
  6. Starting to listen to this interview - and yeah McQ kinda says that Balfe indeed left due to other project commitments, they were looking for folks who would stick with it for months and months version of interview with score bits - https://open.spotify.com/episode/6fmXoJLZ0RbtQmWUWNHMgP
  7. This is also been confirmed to be using the score And yeah they even posted photos from the recording sessions for the teaser so that's confirmed
  8. Some score snippets in this Korea premiere livestream https://m.chzzk.naver.com/video/7158990 39-42mins ...this cue feels very spoilery. Another one at 54 mins. The rest of what's used through the stream I believe is the trailer music.
  9. Can already listen to it if in a time zone where it's Tuesday. Sounds certainly *triumphant*, feels like it's trying to mix both the classic and Balfe's style
  10. Per the billing block on the marketing (which is how the story broke) Cecile Tournesac has the Score Producer credit. (Which in itself is rare to have on the billing block)
  11. Pretty confident guess - they also did the same on the Dead Reckoning campaign where the main titles track first showed up in a social asset. https://www.instagram.com/reel/CtpWSXrgSMn/?igsh=czhxaTV4NmhrZGpv It certainly *sounds* like score as opposed to the trailer-commissioned tracks.
  12. First peek at the main title theme...calls for a new separate thread now https://www.instagram.com/reel/DIy4eUXBCj1/
  13. Both tracks are agency jobs - the teaser is Verdaunt, main trailer is RIVAL/Atlas Audio Works Edit: Max Aruj was involved with the teaser
  14. Sounds like picking up whatever Balfe has started...I guess between strike delays and other projects and the Top Gun Live thing just too busy to finish this?
