Wizard & Glass would probably stack high for me in the series. It had clear characters and makes the Gunslinger comes off as more human because you see how he became so weathered by violence. That one, more so than the rest, would benifite from a film adaptation. Still, the first novel and the final novel, with that big-ass twist ending (which King kept quiet for thirty-some years), stand as my all-time favorites. It's like Rod Serling came back from the grave and wrote an epic.

Yeah, you're not mistaken. The first CD is a year or two old now. I'm posting this because I finally got a DOMAIN NAME and put up MP3 samples that will not go down due to crappy bandwidth. This is all in preparation for The Drawing of the Three though.

That's completely understandable and I have the same feelings going back and listening to it. That's why the second CD in the set will be performed by real people with some expensive sample technology added to the mix aswell.
