  3. Thanks for the updates, @filip! I have been keeping track of the Amazon additions behind the scenes, though had not caught this newest batch of offerings. I think it may be time to go ahead and start up the 2026 FYC thread!!
  4. Yes, I'm with you, @Jay. No argument from me. @Quppa (or someone else with the Naxos "96 kHz" release) will have to chime in for clarification. Wait, the Naxos digital release of the full album hasn't happened, yet, has it? I only see "Liberty Fanfare" as a "preview" track.
  5. Maybe he is saying that (I can see how you interpreted it that way) but that can't be determined from the spectrograms he posted since they're all the same cue.
  6. Yes, except for the lossy MP3, which is to be expected. ~21 kHz for the CD and digital versions, ~16 kHz for the MP3 (with very little content between 16 and 22.05 kHz). EDIT: Sorry, now I misread your post. I don't have the digital release of the entire album to dig into. I just have the promo CD so all the tracks will be 44.1 kHz.
  7. @Quppa, what was the “earlier lossless digital release”? I don’t recall anything between the MP3 and the promo CD. Yes it is, and the stores will deflect the issue back to the source/label who provided the files to them. Similar issue with files not being true 24-bit quantization but rather 16-bit that is simply up-scaled to 24-bit. I've gone through this a few times with HDtracks and Qobuz, both with large label releases and smaller scale film score label releases, and their responses left a lot to be desired. Granted, they credited my account but treated it as doing me a favor "this one time" and even saying that "maybe hi-res audio isn't for you", despite having clear objective proof that what they are selling is being falsely advertised. I'm not seeing evidence that either was recorded at 48 kHz. @Quppa's spectrogram of the "96 kHz" "Naxos digital release" still shows the near brickwall drop at ~21 kHz, with nothing else up to 24 kHz.
  8. Your memory is correct. The 2-CD set was freely given out to concertgoers at the 2023 concert that Williams conducted the 2nd half of…
  9. I had the considerable pleasure of attending Tim Greiving’s lecture this evening titled “John Williams: The Agony of 1974 and the Ecstasy of 1975”, given at the University of Mary Washington in my fair town of Fredericksburg, VA. Many great insights into what led to those pivotal years in Williams’ life, delivered in a very entertaining way to a nearly packed house. I overheard several attendees commenting on how much they enjoyed the lecture and were happy to see this season’s series of “Great Lives” lectures end on such a high note. Bravo, @Maestro!!

  13. FYI, I'll be out of town for a week so updates to the main post will be delayed. Feel free to post any new sites/uploads to the thread, and I'll incorporate them when I return next week. I'll be hitting refresh on the potential F1 music sites until I leave tomorrow, especially since it was just nominated for a Golden Globe...
  14. F1 has been added to the Apple FYC site: https://fycextras.com/f1/extras No music yet though.
