Here's a link to a track from Joseph Kosinski's new film.  Being a big fan of Tron Legacy, I was interested to hear what was going on with this film, and it seems to have a similar vibe.  Figured some here would be interested so here you go.

Dr. No finally seeing an expanded release?

05 September 2012 - 11:30 PM

I'm not familiar with the company, but apparently Harkit Records are releasing an expanded version of Dr. No.  Its probably just a rerecorded job like the Nic Raine albums but at least this is something for Bond fans.

A good actor considering his size.

John Williams Spoofed on Whitest Kids You Know (WKUK)

04 May 2011 - 09:12 PM

So I was watching last week's episode of the Whitest Kids U'Know, and what did I see after the credits but a sketch about this site's namesake, John Williams. For those unfamiliar with the show, its a bunch of 5-6 guys sort-of like Monty Python but not nearly as funny. Most of their sketches are hit and miss, this one not being the exception, but the sketch itself lasted a good 4-5 minutes. The premise was of Williams being commissioned by George Lucas to come up with a theme for a Star Wars/Indy crossover and the composer's quest to come up with the perfect theme to fit a film of this magnitude.

Again, it wasn't the funniest thing I've ever seen from these guys, but I figured you guys would be interested. For anyone interested, it the the episode that first aired on April 29.

Osama Bin Laden: Dead

02 May 2011 - 03:15 AM

Apparently Osama bin Laden has been killed in Afghanistan. Obama will speak within minutes. I don't really think this is a political debate as much as it is a major moment in modern history. One of the biggest terrorists in the world has been neutralized, giving a small bit of comfort to all those around the world whom he has made to suffer. I'm not trying to start any political talks in this thread and I hope it doesn't dissolve into one, and knowing this board I'd be shocked....

EDIT : Apparently it was Pakistan, not Afghanistan.
