This is getting me so confused. First, because I would expect to get an email from their mailing list which iI didn't get, so not sure where you got this from. Also, because this year the 30th of April was a Thursday, and there will be no Friday April 29 in 2027, so this seems so wrong to be potentially untrue... and it's actually true 😅. I still had to check several times this wasn't some very old post from several years ago given the confusion with the dates 😁.

Thank you everyone for your suggestions, it's lovely to see so many replies, and apologies for replying so late. It seems we have came to a conclusion at last. For the day at the city council, we will enter with the Air on the G string on a nice Violin-Cello-piano cover. For the rings exchange we will have May it be from Lord of the rings. At the end, with people chatting and drinking, we have chosen a soft cover of a modern Italian song (in fact it's the one who will be at this year Eurovision contest in case anybody knows). For the big event two days later, I will enter with "the Fairytale" from Shrek, still unsure if the original track from the actual OST or a cover. Our daughter will follow with "a bundle of joy" from Inside out, likely a piano cover. The bride will follow under the notes of Across the stars, likely a harp cover. For the conclusion of the ceremony, we have chosen the instrumental demo of the circle of life from the lion king legacy edition. I will happily share the links to the actual covers on YouTube as soon as we have made the final decision on those, as I am interested to everyone's opinion :P.

Hello everyone, in less than 6 weeks I will attend my own wedding. I thought I would easily find some nice JW music to be used during the topic moments, however I cannot find the ultimate solutions. I am also open to non-Williams options if I have to. I need music for 6 specific moments, as I will attend two different ceremonies in two different days. Day one: a bit less formal, far less people attending (only close families), the actual legal wedding in the city council's big room. You can get an idea of the location from this link, look at the room with the chairs: https://www.entireforwedding.it/matrimonio-terme-caracalla?srsltid=AfmBOoqDdf5e3yAs0lV4MuD9dQg-hsbbwZjRISgyxwqcP4oZ5ASlbmxi I need three tracks: 1- the entrance of the bride and the groom 2: the rings exchange 3: the exit I had thought about The throne room for 1, the binary sunset for 2 and Cantina band for three thinking there would be people chatting and drinking, however my wife-to-be thinks the Binary sunset is too iconic and recognizable, cantina band is too informal and the throne room is too "fanfare"... Now we are thinking about Air on the G string for the first track, possibly a solo cover (violin maybe?). Day two, the big event, about 100 people attending. This is the location: https://www.villaelviraricevimenti.com/rito-simbolico-villa-elvira-vaselli/ Three moments: 1: The entrance of the groom 2: the entrance of our 6 year old daughter 3: The entrance of the bride. I had thought for 1 the Planet Krypton, for 2 Hymn to Joy by Beethoven and for 3 Love theme from Superman. These seem to work a bit better however we are still not 100% sure. Please give me some advice, also outside JW's repertoire if it's worth it. We are happy to consider covers as well. Thank you

This is what it reads if you simply select "EN" as language on the actual page :). "Is the Romantic longing for what is infinite to be found in 'E.T.'? Does it make sense to talk about the 'late Romantic style' in 'Star Wars'? Does 'Raiders of the Lost Ark' distance itself aesthetically from Richard Wagner? This study addresses the link between the film music of John Williams and the epochal phenomena that occurred around 1800. It questions an expansive concept of Romanticism for film music and determines aesthetic expressions of the desire for transcendence as a guiding motif in Romantic art. It takes the double meaning of the word 'leitmotiv' into account, thus adopting two perspectives: the motivation of Romantic art on the one hand and the technical term for musical narrative composition on the other." -

STORY OF A WOMAN (music by John Williams) - coming to Blu Ray

I recently got to know that she recorded this song, arranged (although not composed...) by Bill Conti, a few years before the first Rocky movie was released (go to min 3:25 if you are in rush): -

Don't you think it's a bit different if some frequencies are missing because of the nature of the composition rather than being cut off in post production? A CDDA should represent those frequencies no matter if there is nothing to represent or if they will be inaudible. Even the "inaudibility" can be different for different uman beings. If we are accepting the idea that it's ok if some frequencies are lost, then who decides how much we can lose? The definition of an accepted standard is the solution and it's the producer's responsibility to ensure the product follows the required standards.

Surely the issue affecting HP doesn't affect the listening experience at all. Oh the other hand, by leaving out some, although inaudible, frequencies which were supposed to be there, the production is selling as a CD audio a media support which is not compliant with the CD audio standards, which is where the debate originates I think 🧐

Totally agree. Am I the only one finding the Ewok Celebration on a completely different (like, much better) level then the Victory Celebration? I love the lyrics, I love the transition from Ewok choir into human choir, I love how the choir close the trilogy (and used to close the saga) while celebrating the values of the saga itself. On the other hand, I somehow always found the Victory Celebration a bit "lazy", lacking real inspiration (which in my opinion is not surprising when you hear that Williams had to write it after being posted a videotape of the new version of the footage as in the Special Edition).
