  1. The Face: I have seen so much....perhaps too much.....I am the last of my kind, as you are the last of yours, Doctor.... The Doctor: That's why we have to survive....both of us.....don't go..... The Face: I must....but know this, Timelord....You are not alone...... A scene follows where the Doctor tells Martha all about the time war with the Daleks.....increasing the anticipation for the coming 2-parter!!!! It's quite a while since I've felt this kind of anticipation for the coming episodes....it appears that The Runaway Bride was a bit of a blip, and regular service has been resumed! The next episodes can not come quickly enough for me now... Oh - and yes - I did spot the sig!!!!!!! hmmmm.....wonder what that might all mean, eh??
  2. Gridlock.....illogical, pretty badly conceived, some damned poor effects, occasionally idiotic script. and probably the most thoroughly entertaning episode for quite a while! Nice to see the *AHEM* back - in a somewhat more realistic guise! Actually - the *AHEM* effects were the standout for me here.....shame about much of the rest! And so the Face of Boe gives his final secret - and hands up anyone here who does not know to whom he was referring?!?!?!?? Greg - believing Season 3 to be the most consistently excellent season so far........so far........
  3. Barry Nelson, the first actor to play James Bond on screen, has passed away aged 89. Full story Here.
  4. Greg is very well ta! I am still alive and enjoying season 3 immensely......but have been very busy of late with various - erm - things! The Real Greg1138 will return soon I hope, but for now you will have to make do with this pale imitation, who hopes that the football on Saturday does not go into extra time so that my recording of episode 3 (since I will be doing much nicer things at the time) does not bugger up!
  5. Schindler's List is one of my least listened-to JW CD's.......I find the film AND the score - erm - patchy.....
  6. ....and a good grasp of CTRL-C CTRL-V combinations.....
  7. Bah! My sense of humour is wasted on the internet!
  8. That much is certain... Indeed? Well....it isn't, is it???
  9. Absolutely bloody loved it......great TV that has made me go back and start at the very beginning and watch the whole lot again......can't wait for the next season - so many questions...... My only real nagging doubt about the series as a whole is that it seems to be starting to drag....don't get me wrong, it's still better than 98% of other stuff on TV, but I just feel as though things should start drawing to a close now....I can't see it doing a 7-Season run a le Star Trek etc, and would much rather see this go out with a bang after 4 or 5 seasons of pure quality....
  10. Hmmmm - resurrecting 4-year-old threads...interesting one to pick! It is not a snog.....
  11. The copy-protected AOTC (and Spider-Man, incidentally) CD's worked on some PC's - mostly ones with slightly older CD-ROM drives and perhaps the version of Windows made a difference too...I had no problem ripping it on a PC with an older CD-RW drive running Windows98, but on my PC with XP and a DVD-RW drive it didn't want to know......I have heard this situation from other sources too.....
  12. I'll be there.....the last one was great - but will arrive a little earlier this year!!!! I feel a meet coming on, possibly?? PS - KiranJay - welcome!
  13. Not entirely sure of the exact up-to-date rules for this, but I think that if you are arranging a piece you can just go ahead and do it - performance is fine providing it's limited to your own band - but if you intend to publish or promote the work to other bands you do need to have permission - and who you get permission from depends on what piece you are doing. Perhaps someone with more precise knowledge can correct me?
