  1. Thankfully I am too stupid to work anything like that out.
  2. After hearing that it was a score that's 'behind the film' I was thinking it was going to be really misty and ambient. This is as romantic and sublime as most of his scores are. So happy!
  3. It's an Indiana Jones and The Dial of Destiny joke.
  4. The original trilogy atmos release was 5.1, you can experience these in 5.1; Duel of the Fates, Across The Stars and Battle of the Heroes on the ‘A Musical Journey’ DVD that came with Revenge of the Sith soundtrack CD. Sadly there is dialogue (mainly in the center channel).
  5. It's February 1980, you are in Anvil Studios and you've lost your keys, you are on the floor looking for them right infront of the horns... Aboard The Executor - Close Horn Version.mp3
  6. I've not taken them out sometimes just for this reason, so dissapointing.
  7. i really do wish i could join you.
  8. I'd say it's likely we just want the scores to be treated the same as all the other new releases, like Jaws - LaLaLand and others. Star Wars has never really had that treatment.
  9. "I held out hope for so long"
  10. The most boring answer there is, but it's my dream... Imperial March.
  11. The sheets that were used for the recordings are essentially the sheets from the sessions and they are the intended versions. The film versions are cut up from an audio perspective afterwards in post, the sheet music for the live to picture version reflects these post audio edits so the film and musicians sync seamlessly. However it's very jarring in places, especially because you can hear it more in the concert hall, the awful edits. I was hoping there would be some smoothing of this for a concert hall experience, however this isn't the case and the music is presented literally. This desire to make the LTP's reflect the film versions is met with a little contradiction as well, the music presented is taken from the original sheets and rarely contains the stage-changed versions done in the sessions. Battle of Hoth & The Imperial Fleet spring to mind, I am sure there are other examples.
