The term criticism can be used neutrally, and that is how I used it. Think criticism in the academic sense.

I’ve decided I’m not going to spend my time whinging about unreleased music or the length of the album or repeated tracks because the very existence of this score was extremely improbable to begin with. We didn’t deserve anything Williams has done in the last two decades. Every second of new music is a gift, and that is how I am going to treat it.

I don’t really find all the comparisons of the piece resembling this or that based on a few notes to be very valuable criticism, except to point out that it has completely different emotional content than all those works - I think that is Williams’ brilliance. A couple notes shared with Cinque’s theme, yet this is filled with its own noble, religious awe, which I wouldn’t say Cinque’s theme does. Williams is able to use similar building blocks to create something entirely different.

In my wildest dreams I did not imagine he would conduct this too. Incredible. This man is my hero.

I think it’s cool they responded politely and fixed the issue. I don’t think a mistake makes them idiots. I think if they hadn’t fixed the mistake would have made them idiots.

Near tears by the little melody at 1:40. Really hope that is an idea that recurs in the score :’)

I’ve always had a hard time telling if moments like that are synth or not. There is a lot of synth choir in that score.

Yeah it was that extremely low and guttural droning that resembled the Tibetan monk throat singing. Check out “What Happened” and “The Aliens” on the Intrada. Think the sound of “Palpatine’s Teachings” but mixed much lower.
