#895634 IMDB says John Williams to score Pixar's 2015 movie "Inside Out"

In a shocking twist, John Williams finds out the Michael Giacchino will be scoring Star Wars VII so Williams steals his Pixar scoring gig in retaliation.

#894129 Star Trek Into Darkness by Michael Giacchino (Varese OST May 28 2013)

Horner's Spiderman score is better than I thought it would be but it's obvious he was influenced by or the film was temp tracked with Elfman's superior scores.

Rest in peace.

Didn't always agree with him but had a great deal of respect for him as well as what he overcame from this horrible disease.

I find the Hobbit score to be just as good as the LOTR scores.

#888652 What Is The Last Score You Listened To?

Posted by Mark Olivarez on 03 March 2013 - 07:28 PM

I have ADD.  I'll usually just spin the wheel on the iPod to a certain letter in Album view, and then work my way up or down the alphabet based on my mood, every so many tracks.  Especially when I'm behind the wheel.

What do you do when your iPod skips the song you selected?

Scream bloody murder and drive through whatever unlucky pedestrians happen to be in my way.

Why, what do you do?

ROTFLMAO

Sorry the mental image made me actually start laughing out loud.

Skyfall should have won for cinematography.

#887446 Best Score Oscar Poll 2013: who WILL win vs. who SHOULD win

Posted by Mark Olivarez on 24 February 2013 - 08:42 PM

Who cares if Williams already has 5 Oscars, why should that stop him from winning?

I mean Alan Menken won too many Oscars for his medicore scores, the songs were dserving for the most part. So why shouldn't Williams be able to add to his collection?

In all seriousness this is a weak year for film music as far as awards go, none of the 5 nominees really stand out. They've all done superior work that's been ignored in the past.

If Williams' work is better than the rest then give him the damn award.

It would be nice if the composer and songwriter work together to create a memorable theme / song that can be used throughout the score.

Also bring back the damn gunbarrell.
