  1. I’m in support of anything they can do to perk up The Magician’s Nephew.
  2. That’s an awful Kermit impression but the Macklunkey still made me laugh
  3. Ordered the CD. Was thinking about canceling my digital preorder, but I’ll just use it as coverage between now and whenever the CD ships (the last handful of CDs I’ve ordered from Waxwork have had delays, FWIW).
  4. I picked up Spectre. I like The Golden Child well enough, but not enough to compulsively rebuy after the previous release.
  5. I don’t worry myself with FYCs, leaks, etc., so there is a ton here that will be new to me. Looking forward to it.
  6. Just saw a post over in the Tolkien subforum where somebody said churro meant “semen” in Portuguese. We need a yum react.
  7. Most recent one was Dark Journey, so next on the queue would be the duet of Enemy Lines books, should I push onward.
  8. I’m sure the song will be fine. I’m not sure the Toy Story vibe will fall into the pocket of the stuff of hers that I like, but it’s also a movie for 7 year olds so so can’t find myself getting too worked up about it. I have a daughter so I am privy to all of Taylor Swift’s doings. Kids love her. Sometime I’m going to ruin my child’s day and tell her that Taylor is basically my age. I do like maybe 60% of her stuff overall, and there are a nice fat handful of songs that I really love and are in regular rotation on my running playlists.
  9. I’ve read Light of the Jedi, Into the Dark, and The Rising Storm - and all the THR and THR Adventures comics including minis and one-offs, except for Pathfinders which I believe is still ongoing but I haven’t gotten through the pile to read the early issues yet. I usually sprinkle one SW book every month or two into my regular reading, but I’m stuck in the middle of reading TNJO at the moment and not enjoying it much, so I might just throw in the towel entirely and read real books, stick to comics for SW.
  10. I loved DF2 at the time. I doubt it holds up.
  11. I had a huge crush on Dark Angel back when she was Flipper’s friend.
  12. I would like Hot Dog Emoji
  13. There are quite a few - I’m not sure there are “more” early reader or middle grade books than in the pre-Disney years, but they all appear to be marketed as part of the main line as opposed to a subseries like Young Jedi Knights. They’ve released a handful of YA books under Disney, which I don’t think was a reading market that was served under Lucas. 75% of the stuff they’ve released over the past 5 years has been The High Republic, which has, from what I’ve read at least, been pretty boring.
  14. I suspect Marty is talking chronology rather than release. Honestly, most Star Wars books are pretty lousy regardless of where they fell on a timeline.
  15. Taking my kid to this tonight. We just watched the first episode and she couldn’t have given less of a shit (until the last minute), but the tickets are nonrefundable so off we go!
