  1. Maybe not his best, but definitely one of his most unique cues: Opening, Let There Be Light (Close Encounters) It's a great cue because it's amazing to think that an orchestra can create such sounds. I saw an orchestra play this live, and it still was hard to believe that there weren't any electronic instruments used.
  2. In no particular order: -Escape/Chase/Saying Goodbye (E.T.) -Hedwig?s Theme -The Patriot Theme -Welcome to Jurassic Park -Desert Chase -Sabrina Theme -Across the Stars -Ben?s Death/TIE Fighter Attack -Asteroid Field -Finale/End Credits TESB
  3. Here's a link to that Boston Pops press release. All the press releases are in the Community section of the bso.org website.
  4. I agree, the press release is very poorly written, but it was submitted by the Pops on their web site. Also, some tickets are still available for the May 22 concert. Last week I know the site said it was sold out, but I just bought a third ticket I needed in row E, section ORCH 8, seat 1. It's against the wall, but it's nice and close to the stage. So, if you need extra tickets there should be a few still available.
  5. Sorry, that's a 2,050 seat Tent. Also, just another plug for my home state: Aspen and the rest of the Rockies in the summer offer a ton of really fun things to do (hiking, biking, rafting, fishing, and the list goes on and on). There are going to be a lot of other great concerts, operas, and performances (some of which are free to all) going on during the Festival too. So, if you really enjoy classical music, I've been told that you won't want to miss it.
  6. Yeah, I'm going with my family. I'm in school now (can you guess where?), but I've lived in Colorado for over 10 years. I've been to Aspen many times in both the summer and winter, but I've never been to the Aspen Music Festival. I'd highly recommend going. The concert is underneath a 2,050 Tent that was built only 4 years ago and is somewhat open to the elements. Also, there's a grassy lawn surrounding the Tent that is supposedly open and free to the public during concerts. So you can still enjoy Williams and Aspen without having to spend $50+ for a ticket. I can't wait.
  7. After much trouble with the website, I finally got my tickets over the phone. I've never been to Symphony Hall and haven't been to Boston in over 15 years. I was at the Hollywood Bowl Award Gala and the E.T. 20th Anniversary premiere, which were both fantastic, so I have high expectations for my next John Williams concerts. Here's when I'm going: Hooray for Hollywood Boston Pops May 19, 2004 8:00 PM Symphony Hall ORCH Row E, Table 2 Spring Pops with John Williams Boston Pops May 22, 2004 8:00 PM Symphony Hall ORCH Row P, Table 2
  8. I have been visiting this site for a long time, but just registered today. Mahawa has graciously made some of my recordings available at his website. Also, there should be a link on his website soon to my webspace where even more of my Williams piano renditions are available for dowload. Enjoy and if anyone has a request let me know.
