I really, REALLY!!! Like the music for the " The Scarab of Lost Souls" levels for Stuntman for the PS2.It's very John Williams. Do any of you know how I can get an MP3 of this music. Im dying for an MP3.Im a huge fan of Indiana Jones and a huge fan of Orchestral Film music scores especially of the Adventure type. So you can understand why I like this music and level so much. Also The Music for the James Bond style levels of "Live Twice for Tommorow" were also great I would like MP3's of that music as well. Can anyone help me out? Ronald C

Composer Threads The Official Michael Giacchino Thread

I dont know what your talking about Morlock The opening track and Mad Dash sound very much like Giacchino and there are also other points in the score where you can clearly hear that it's Giacchino. BTW You will be happy to know that Giacchino is indeed scoring the video game aswell. I imagine that he took cues from movie and extended them and aranged them to fit the levels in the game. He probbably scored the game at the same time he did the movie. Ronald C -
As you all probbably already know Video Game composer Michael Giacchino is scoring Pixar's next big animated film "The Incredibles" There is a video game also being made based on the movie. I would assume that Michael is also scoring the video game, but can anyone confirm this? I mean it only makes sense that he would score the video game. The game is based on a movie that he did the musical score for and Michael has had extensive experience in scoring Video Games. It's only logical that he should score the game also. Think about it, would it make any sense to you if they found another composer to score the game? Besides this way if he scores it all the thematic material would be preserved. Im guessing that a lot of the music from the game would be directly based off of cues frol the film, sort of like extentions of the cues from the film. Ronald C

Im not talking about the trailers. Im talking about a commercial for Pringles Potato chips that has a tie in with the Incredibles. Ronald C

Im wondering if anyone here can help me. I looking for the name and composer of a heroic sounding swashbuckling theme that is used a lot in many things like movie trailers and comercials. I have heard it in a lot of places. It's used in one of the trailers for Disney's Hercules and it was most recently used in a tv comercial about Pringles Chips and The Incredibles. Does anyone know what Im talking about. I would appritiate any help anyone can offer on this. Thanks Ronald C

Say does anyone know anything about Giacchino's score to the Incredibles? Any news or clips, does anyone know about what the main theme will sound like or the score itself. I have some clue as to what it might sound like from listening to his other music, but still I am dying to hear what his score to this movie will be like. Ronald C -
Im gonna say Gremlins. I had a situation at Best Buy when I went to go buy The Spider-Man 2 Score CD on July 27. I went looking for it first. I figrued it might be in the front area where they usually put new releases of music CDs that came out on that day, but no luck. I fugured that was strange, but let it go then I went to the soundtrack section and all I saw there was the "Music from and Inspired By" CD not the score. "Hmmmm whats going on?" I thought to myself. I then went to ask this girl that worked in the music section. I told her what I was looking for and that it was supposed to be released that day and of course she thought I was talking about the "Music from and Inspired By" CD . I told her that I was looking for the score CD composed by Danny Elfman. I was looking for the musical score and this halfwit of a girl had no clue what I was talking about. I had to explain it to her 3 times what it was I was looking for. I had to actually define what a movie film score was. At this point I was very upset. 1. I could not comprehend the sheer stupidity of this girl. and 2. I was no closer to having my Spider-Man 2 score CD. Then she saw I was getting aggitated and sought the help of a fellow employee. The whole proccess all over again and this guy had no clue what I was talking about. At this point I was fed up. I told them to forget it and I stormed off. In retrospect I should have done that a lot sooner. Needless to say I eventualy got my score at a Barnes and Noble. Later I found out that Best Buy was not even carrying the Spider-Man 2 score CD. At least the ones down here (Miami, FL) Now thats just sad. Ronald C

Hey there Im a huge fan of Michael Giacchino and all his scores especially his Medal of Honor scores and Secret Weapons over Normandy and I just recently discovered his Call of Duty score. Im also a fan of Marvel Superhero Captain America, anyway a lot of these scores have these great Epic, heroic and patrotic main themes. When I heard the main theme for Secret Weapons over Normandy I see Cap fighting Nazis in WW2. That theme just screams Captain America to me. I think that if they ever make a Captain America movie live action or Animated they should totally get Michael Giacchino to score it. What do you guys think? Do you agree with me? Ronald C

Hey Jesse Could I get some more info on how you hired this orchestra? Do they charge you for every peice of music you want to record? Like lets say I want to record 4 cues will they charge me for each ? What is the specific link to hire these folks. Do you yourself have to right the sheet music for the orchestra or do they do that? Answers to these questions would be greatly appritiated. Thanks Ronald C

Odd use of ANH imperialtheme in ep III? (from CNN interview)
RONDC20 replied to Pelzter's topic in General Discussion
Well I for one really liked hearing the Imperial March/Darth Vader's theme in Episode 1 and 2. The use of it in the scene where Anakin confesess to Padme that he killed all the Tusken Raiders was just so powerfull. If George Lucas wants to replace the theme in ANH with the march. Im all for it. I think it would be great and I do think it would tie in Ep 3 with Ep 4 and both trilogies nicely. If not then no harm done, But I do think that Williams should not use the ANH Imperial theme in Ep 3. I want to hear the Imperial March in Ep 3 not the ANH Imperial Theme. I think it would be better if Williams rescored ANH with the Imperial March, but of course this is only my opinion. Ronald C
