There also the question what he meant by his “cello imitation”. Could it mean he’s working on his new cello piece? Which is said to be in the works for Yo-Yo Ma.

Due to the upcoming snow storm tomorrow’s concert has been cancelled along with Tim’s talk…my flight was also cancelled along with 10,000 others. Trying to get out of Boston today before the storm hits 🥶 Happy JW got out in time safely.

There are photos of him standing (at home) after his medical issue happened. One reason for the wheelchair in public events is probably to prevent him from falling accidents. Also his overall condition is frail, of course. He must have physical therapy at home, I imagine.

He wasn’t…and a bit of the magic was gone w him. Although again a lovely concert, there was too much noise from the audience - a cane dropping twice in the front row and 5 phones ringing, once in the first row. Shaham and Ax were wonderful and we were happy to run into them afterwards!

It was wonderful to see the Maestro. Treesong after all those years was a treat. Great to see Gil Shaham shine again. The Piano Concerto sounded more brilliant than at Tanglewood. And JW looked sharp and in good shape! @my fellow and ubiquitous JWFans thanks for catching up 🤗

I inquired today at the box office about JW’s attendance. They said JW will be only attending today. Not sure how reliable this info is, however. Anyhow it seems pretty sure by now that he won’t attend Saturday’s and Sunday’s performances.

It’s enigmatic. Intriguing, but incomprehensible at first sight. I d recommend to read the essence JW took from it as quoted in Tim’s biography. Very philosophical and inspiring, imo.
