It goes without saying that I’m 100% not good with this, especially because it was done without asking authorisation to use my voice (or Mike’s) to do this prank. I don’t care if it’s April’s Fool, this is very uncomfortable and too weird.

I won’t watch any new trailer or preview for this; the first teaser revealed already too much in my opinion. I hope to go see this as a clean slate as possible. It’s just three months to go.

It will certainly sound like Thomas Newman and nothing else. I'm sure a more robust/traditional orchestral character is required (this is still a space adventure movie for kids), but if they hired Tom is because they want something with his own unique imprint. This is really beautiful. I love how Newman is able to blend a sort of modal hymn-like idea with his own characteristic pointillistic writing.
